Friday, January 20, 2012 7:24:46 PM This isn't really a cyber war. When a cyber war breaks out you can pretty much say goodbye to most of the internet, your banks, the stock market and a lot of industrial systems and even utilities. |

Friday, January 20, 2012 9:54:55 AM "Where the protests against SOPA were working I can now see a reversal on this because of this" Ya, a small group of hackers making demands will obviously completely negate millions upon millions of people making calls, letters, emails, blackouts, and live protests. |

Friday, January 20, 2012 5:23:24 AM and @piperfawn this isn't a cyber war..... Another point when it comes down to it will the states want to back down now. They back down now they think next time anonymous wants to do something they'll do this again. Where they won't care about piracy they will care when it's to do with national security gunatanomo or big oil or something. They back down now it creates a bad precedent for them which they can not have.... Where the protests against SOPA were working I can now see a reversal on this because of this |

Friday, January 20, 2012 5:21:21 AM Anyone ever think that the real hackers who go onto 4chan and partake in these attacks are doing it for their own gain and just using the 4chaners to take the fall and provide distraction. Think about the Anonymous attacks which fail and the ones that succeed, or are just script kiddies. Thing I've noticed the effective attacks are worth money to the actual hackers |

Friday, January 20, 2012 5:02:09 AM Don't get me wrong though, it's not that I don't appreciate people trying to make a point about why all this poo is stupid. I just don't like when people are given more credit than they deserve then brag about it. |

Friday, January 20, 2012 4:58:42 AM "Anonymous" isn't even a specific group, it's what every retard that can port forward and set up a botnet calls themselves. Anyone can let someone else use their internet to DDoS, and with enough retards of course you can temporarily shut down a website. This is as big of a fail as when they only made Mastercard/Paypal's front pages lag, but then just putting "www" before the link made them load perfectly. so pro hacka |

Thursday, January 19, 2012 11:37:13 PM anyone that actually thinks that anon uses pre-scripted tools is a fool. anon hacked one of the largest companies in the world, hack the fbi on the same day and managed to take anything and everything they wanted, all the while the security comapany owner said it could not happen. well it did, anon busted through their security easily and took what they wanted WHILE the company was aware of what was happening but could do nothing to stop them. anon has some major world class talent in it and denial of service is only one of the things they do. anon does what most wish they could, shut down those that try to take away our liberties. some would say it is wrong to do it the way they do but we live in a world and country where the rule of law means nothing to the rich and powerful because they buy and own the law.

Thursday, January 19, 2012 10:18:37 PM Someone is angry...well what's new? Angry? Not quite. I just find it pathetic that so many people support and praise an "organization" (if you can even call it that) that doesn't actually DO anything except put on a show, and not even a good one to be honest. Get off your ass and actually do something, don't just leave it up to someone else, especially when that someone (or group of someones, in this case) is just a bunch of pissed off basement-dwelling losers with a collection of pre-scripted tools that make it so easy a computer illiterate moron could perform a DDoS. They don't do "good" work. They just don't do work at all. |

Thursday, January 19, 2012 9:20:52 PM Oh really, Anon? The sites are back up now. Anonymous is nothing. They're a bunch of script kiddes DDoS'ing websites and acting like they're hot-poo because they can temporarily overload servers that aren't meant to handle large traffic loads, considering that they AREN'T VISITED THAT OFTEN IN THE FIRST PLACE. They haven't done shit. Call me when they PERMANENTLY crash a site, or perhaps alter the entire DoJ's homepage, and I'll be impressed. As-is, they're probably just a bunch of "haxors" firing off their LOIC's from behind a proxy or two and laughing maniacally because they think they're cool. |
