Journalists have an underlying tendency to never let the truth get in the way of a good story.
The sorry product of this practice of frequent lying is believed by a high percentage of the population, who rely on 'brer journalist' for their knowledge of world affairs.
The media have the power to influence the 50% of society, that is too stupid to question the diet of distorted rubbish being fed to them.
We will never know if the media is the root cause of war and strife in world, because we cannot rely on then not to let the truth get in the way of a good story. |

this is very typical of Fox News.
this was clearly not a mistake...for Fox to say so is for them to assert that they believed an armed protest/revolt was occurring in Russia, when in fact nothing of the sort was happening.
so either Fox's employees are complete and total morons or they are trying to push their point of view and stir up trouble. |

Except they have a long history of doing this same mistake regularly. Hell, Glen Beck made a career out of it. Using protests from california to lie about protests in Wisconsin. A huge rally video to lie about his own poorly attended rally in Washington. That's just off the top of my head. |
