Monday, January 23, 2012 3:13:46 PM This is why they're kicking our ass. They're building buildings and iPads and we're complaining that it's racist to suggest that kids should learn to work by being janitors. I weep for the future. |

Monday, January 23, 2012 11:05:50 AM I want to see something really impressive. I want to see something excellent that was made in China. Yeah they can get a lot of work done. It's easy to make things of poor quality(or poo quality). |

Monday, January 23, 2012 8:19:19 AM kinky_afr0: I used the word 'housing' as a general term for property with a building on it. Perhaps the term 'Real Estate' might've been better, but real estate may or may not have a building on the property. Hotel or not, most buildings like this remain virtually unoccupied in China. Here, watch this. |

Sunday, January 22, 2012 10:20:26 AM Was anybody else bothered by the annotation at the beginning about a girl who "go's" head-to-head against a lion? I don't think I've ever seen that word misspelled before. |

Sunday, January 22, 2012 9:37:19 AM So... are they going to take that giant crane out of the middle of it, or are they gonna just go ahead and leave it there |

Sunday, January 22, 2012 2:19:25 AM @CrakrJak it's a hotel. What has that got to do with housing? |

Saturday, January 21, 2012 10:25:12 PM That buiding might have been "assembled" in 15 days, but not "built" in that time period. I'm sure it took many months for all of the prefabing. |

Saturday, January 21, 2012 9:33:31 PM And I bet not a single floor of it is occupied. China has been on a huge building boom, but no one lives or works in these new buildings. It's China's way of keeping people employed, for the moment, but it's going to lead to an unprecedented housing crash there in the future. |

Saturday, January 21, 2012 9:22:44 PM Well, they worked days and nights, and it was all prefab, add that to a pooton of workers, and it's possible that it's safe. |

Saturday, January 21, 2012 6:09:50 PM @ jeepjones: I'm actually pretty familiar with the U of Guelph campus, and for the life of me, I am not familiar with the housing you speak of... exactly where on campus are these monstrosities? |

Saturday, January 21, 2012 3:17:30 PM even with prefab parts it still is fast. as for the appearance part, i dont think it really matters. its a simple hotel for ppl to spend a couple of nights when they visit the place for busyness or something like that. i like this whole thing. kudos to chinese (especially if it as good as they say) |
