I'm actually a little disappointed by this list. I hate the thought of Santorum holding any kind of meaningful responsibility as much as the next gay guy, but this list actually seems to reveal more about creative misinterpretation of liberal media than the far more troubling realities of Santorum's philosophical outlook.

It isn't that I-A-B is biased to "the libies", it's that *reality* is biased against yahoos like Santorum.
Anthropogenic (man caused) global warming is established to a high degree of scientific certainty, and is accepted by science institutions all over the industrialized world. His misuse of the term "trace gas" just shows that he really doesn't understand the science that he's rejecting. This "trace gas", CO2, is higher than it has been in over 800,000 years due to buring fossil fuels and deforestation. CO2 is a greenhouse gas and helps cause global warming.
And Santorum denies this!
If accepting reality is a trait of "libies", then I'd hope we're all "libies" here. |

Priests, like all of us, are affected by culture. When the culture is sick, every element in it becomes infected. While it is no excuse for this scandal, it is no surprise that Boston, a seat of academic, political, and cultural liberalism in America, lies at the center of the storm.
Wait, let's make sure I've got this right. Rick Santorum, a devout Catholic, states that reason Catholic priests have indulged in the systematic rape and butt-f*cking of children over centuries is because of Liberals?

Well.
He is a hypocrite on marriage. I am tired of "family values" used as a whip over gay people's heads from folks who have usually had a divorce or two.
2. He thinks it's a cultural thing kids are raped in church, not the responsibility of the people in charge.
3. He is not only against abortion, but against any contraception as well. That's pretty extreme in this country in this day and age.
4. He is against government provided health care...strange since some of the most content countries in the world have this already.
5. He does not seem to want to entertain the notion that pollution could affect the weather.
I don't hold these points of view against him, I hold against him the fact that they are all based on emotion and not logic or data.

He is entitled to his beliefs. They should not however, be brought into any political office. Only thing that should be brought into office is what is legal and what is best for the country. I now wait for the ultra liberals to say he cannot believe that because they think he is wrong. And the ultra conservatives to rally behind him. The ultra conservatives are just being themselves while the ultra liberals will continue to be hypocrites, and say only their train of thought on morality is correct. This guy reinforces my thought that the republicans do not have a viable candidate to beat the douche in office, so they sent these poor douches out for the slaughter. |
