Friday, January 20, 2012 2:34:20 AM "I'm calling bs on wheel chair guy" @tatripp: It's because of ignorant people like you who pre-judge people without knowing anything about them that we have people like Mitt today. Are you a doctor? do you know this person? My mother is going to get a MJ recommendation because regular medicine is not working for her migraine headaches anymore. Excessive doses are needed to barely cure pain, and in turn she is getting unbearable stomach pain due to the high amounts of medicine she takes. My father is a family doctor with a Ph.D and DEA from France and fully supports her choice after I let her try some. So, is my mother's case bullpoo? who are you to judge? |

Thursday, January 19, 2012 3:44:25 PM He and Ron Paul are the least crazy of all of the Republican candidates currently, and Obama seems to have failed with his 'change'. It's actually pretty sad Americans have the choice between insane, crazy, kind of crazy, and incompetent this year. |

Thursday, January 19, 2012 11:54:30 AM forestq Nor do they personally invade countries. It's clearly a figure of speech; arrest/ cause to be arrested. Way to miss the point. |

Thursday, January 19, 2012 7:57:58 AM @DromEd: Well it all started with trying to blame mexicans for the "apparent" corruption of youth, similar to how chinese opium dens were demonized as being cesspools of debauchery and corrupt morals. Drugs have just been a scapegoat used by politicians to play on the fears of people. The only reason marijuana is still illegal is because they want the scapegoat and they don't want to look like idiots (too late) by going back on their previous stance. |

Thursday, January 19, 2012 6:52:56 AM I'm so conservative I make Regan look like a new deal advocate. But I can't for the life of me understand the anti-marijuana stance. You and I make most conservatives on this forum look like populists. |

Thursday, January 19, 2012 2:07:47 AM @swoop408, ignorant statement. I won't vote for him (unless he's the only alternative to Obama) but plenty of people will. |

Wednesday, January 18, 2012 10:06:59 PM @MelCervini, you can also add the fact that hemp could potentially put textile companies in trouble, (please correct me if I'm wrong). Also the owners of prisons would loose money as marijuana users would no longer be able to be arrested for using it if it became legal. (again, correct me if I'm wrong) |

Wednesday, January 18, 2012 10:01:29 PM @xiquiripat, I'm not sure of the details of the closing of the dispensaries, but could it have been possible that the dispensaries were selling marijuana to non medical users, or where they breaking any other laws (technicalities causing the raids/shut down of dispensaries)? I know of one in California that was shut down for doing so (don't remember the details) but not every dispensary was. Also, as number1man noted, just because its legal in a state to sell/consume medical marijuana, doesn't make it legal in the country. the feds can, if they please, close any and all dispensaries nationwide because federal law trumps state law, however they decide to ignore them(please do correct me if I'm wrong) |

Wednesday, January 18, 2012 9:53:17 PM DromEd: I'm so conservative I make Regan look like a new deal advocate. But I can't for the life of me understand the anti-marijuana stance. I have a theory that the pill/medical community is the biggest proponent of making marijuana legal or even de-criminalized... if we have access to marijuana, there go a huge number of their depression pills, anti-anxiety pills, sleeping pills, nausea pills, and the like that they shove down your throat THAT ARE ADDICTIVE. Marijuana legalized = Pill companies lose their hold on us and go under. Just an opinion. |
