Tuesday, January 17, 2012 11:52:00 PM These movies are sufficiently accurate to be shown in molecular biology classes. At the same time, I've shown some of these to my grandpa, and he also got the point. Isn't that cool? |

Tuesday, January 17, 2012 11:23:35 PM For some reason those animations creep the hell outta me, especially that last one. |

Tuesday, January 17, 2012 4:24:27 PM That made my brain hurt! Ooo! Really interesting! Science is fun! I don't think it's "dumbed down" he has 7 minutes to explain something, and has to use common language to boot! Now please excuse me, I have the terrible feeling that billions of tiny bugs are crawling around on my DNA... *scratch scratch* |

Tuesday, January 17, 2012 3:48:30 PM dumbed down science is so funny, "molecules are really small" if only my degree was that easy... Everything you have learned to this point is "dumbed down science" as that is how people learn. Arrogance is not intelligence, and you have proved such. |

Tuesday, January 17, 2012 1:06:37 PM dumbed down science is so funny, "molecules are really small" if only my degree was that easy... It's never easy explaining science so that anyone can understand it. I usually deplore dumbed-down science, but I also deplore having to give a vocabulary lesson every time I present my research. |

Tuesday, January 17, 2012 12:39:48 PM Amazing animations abound! Even the helicases, polymerase and histones appeared to be in appropriate shapes. It's things like this that made me want to be a molecular biologist. |

Tuesday, January 17, 2012 12:02:42 PM Link: Drew Berry: Animations Of Unseeable Biology [Rate Link] - A TED talk on DNA with sweet animation. We have no way to view molecules and what they do. Berry wants to change that. |
