an act of plunder, violent seizure, or abuse; despoliation; violation: ie. the rape of the countryside.
and yes I've heard it used in the non-sexual meaning. |

So... Was that "proverb" written by a rapist?
Personally, I'd approve of something more like, "When rape is inevitable, try to make sure it's as unenjoyable as possible for the rapist without further jeopardizing your own safety." Maybe lie there emotionlessly and talk about your crappy day at work or drum your fingers and keep checking the time. |

I think that was what Tex Antwon (a weatherman on ABC New York) said before his segment, just after the story about a rape. Two things resulted from his comment. He was fired and never was on the air again and the networks had a time delay for their Live News reports. |

where is the problem, it clearly states "if its inevitable" so if you are 'drated' you can still make "the best" of it.
