Monday, January 16, 2012 4:44:17 PM This article is only meant to stir up the false left-right paradigm that is blinding everyone. Republicans and democrats only exist to present the american people with the illusion of choice. Obama's policies are the same as bush jr are the same as clinton are the same as bush sr are the same as reagan are the same as carter. If voting actually made any difference in the political process it would have been made illegal years ago. |

Monday, January 16, 2012 4:34:46 PM Thanks @Patchy (hope you don't mind me calling you that, I usually try to get people's 'names' right, lower case letters and all!) you're not so bad either. @mcboozerilla: How on EARTH is the post title "anti-Obama"??? It's clearly about the magazine and has ZERO to do with BHO... next you'll cry 'racist' eh? |

Monday, January 16, 2012 3:08:16 PM For those who are interested in the actual message, and not just the attention grabber on the front page, the relevant Newsweek article is currently here: Andrew Sullivan: How Obama's Long Game Will Outsmart His Critics So, no, this isn't about "non-Obama voters", it's about Obama critics. |

Monday, January 16, 2012 11:32:32 AM You don't actually argue that anything blamed on the socialists in government is not their fault Well I wasn't defending them anyway, except maybe for the "who wants war?"=democrats comment. You're also skewing the argument by not acknowledging republican complicity in some of those policies. You don't actually make any argument that most of the US legacy media (especially the newspapers and most TV news sources, including PBS) are socialist. Saying that American news companies are biased is like saying water is wet. There are biases on both sides, I'm not even arguing that, it's self-evident. Many of 5cats' arguments are ad nauseum anyway. |

Monday, January 16, 2012 11:31:19 AM Hmm. If obama's critics are dumb, his supporters must be REALLY stupid. Seriously, who would vote for this guy again? He's kept Bush's bad policies and added even worse ones. I have heard "I can't believe I fell for it" alot more than "Obama 2012" |

Monday, January 16, 2012 10:29:23 AM patchgrabber You don't actually argue that anything blamed on the socialists in government is not their fault You don't actually make any argument that most of the US legacy media (especially the newspapers and most TV news sources, including PBS) are socialist. There is good evidence, much of it coming directly from them (you have read the Journolist emails, haven't you?) that they are. So basically you are just sore that most recent problems were caused by the Democrats or statist policy of Republicans. You can't argue against it, so you simply rubbish the claims without addressing them. |

Monday, January 16, 2012 10:22:46 AM Maddux Nope. Just that your favoured fool blames his failings on his predecessor, despite this contradicting his own previous statements (like that his stimulus would keep down unemployment, when judged against his own predictions it has increased it). You are simply foolish enough to believe him. |

Monday, January 16, 2012 9:40:22 AM Obama Critics are dumb. They don't know what the eff they are talking about and have been trying to pin the failings of the former administration on Obama since the day he came into office. |

Monday, January 16, 2012 8:14:47 AM Well, since it's a Republican writer, I assume he's frustrated that well known republican supporters and their arguments are stupid, which I would have to agree. Have you seen the Republican candidates? Jeebus. If you take a second to actually read the headline, it's apparent that Newsweek isn't saying "Anyone who doesn't support Obama is dumb." I feel like Republicans CONSTANTLY play the "OH WOE IS ME, THE WORLD IS SO CRUEL TO US FORWARD-THINKING REDS" card. Stop. F*cking. Whining. |

Monday, January 16, 2012 8:08:17 AM @piperfawn: 5cats is an exemplar of the modern republican: Nothing is their fault, always disagree with democratic president, all that's wrong in the world is because of the democrats, MSM is always against them. Dems essentially say the same thing in reverse, which make these arguments circular and pointless. |

Monday, January 16, 2012 6:55:44 AM @Zeegrr: "...who put forth a health care bill from the other side?" = The Republicans presented a comprehensive health care bill in opposition, the MSM never mentioned it of course. "Who is fighting healthcare for poor children?" = Republicans. Under Obamacare some 20 million + Americans have LOST thier coverage. "who wants war?" = Democrats. Invade Libya much? Troops into Uganda? "remember lies that started 2 wars?" = Remember that Obama supported Afghanistan? Remember that he campainged on it being "the Just war"? It's a shame to be that stupid in this day and age. Oh! Teh irony! |
