She was afraid of not being told if someone transgendered was in her group. As a quick way of identifying I propose all transgenders in girlscouts to wear an armband with a bright 'T' identifying them as such along with a wooden "unclean" sign to be hung around their neck. That way it's much easier to determine who to unjustifiably harass. |

I don't understand why people don't comprehend transgender issues. They are born in the wrong body, don't feel comfortable etc. They want to undergo sex change. Who are you as a closed minded individual to stigmatize, take away rights, and deny them?
Different cultures have got it more correct; there are many non-Western cultures that recognize this issue and don't strictly have this 2 gender fixed society. Despite our technology, we can be so ignorant. |

With just a quick search on the values that the Girl Scouts are meant to promote in their members, I'm beginning to question this girl's senses of kindness, friendliness and courtesy...
Anyway, there are genetic abnormalities that do mean that a person can present physically as female, yet their genotype denotes them as male. I'll give Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome as an example of an individual who is XY, yet has all the makings of a Victoria's Secret model. Not quite the same, but Klinefelter's Syndrome has males (admittedly with slightly altered characteristics) who have genotypes of XXY, XXXY etc.
So, why hate people who find that, and wish to be surgically changed? Or hate those who have the mind of a male/female, yet have the exterior of a female/male? |

I presume she would like to see transgendered children identified and drowned at birth ...or maybe force-fed girl scout cookies until they choke to death.Her nasty do-goody pretense at piety disgusts me !
Can she even begin to imagine the suffering of being trapped in the wrong body ?. The fact is those "boys" she refers to ARE girls just with the wrong genitals and are highly likely to have an atypical chromosone combination. They have human rights too ! It is our duty to not just accept them but provide a place for them.
If a boy lives as a girl and is accepted as a girl by their family and medical profession how dare *she* judge !
It is no small matter for girl with a male body to be brave enough to set out on the long and painful path to achieving the correct gender . |

The real issue is that the girls get something like 25 cents for each box of cookies sold. I'm still eating the damn cookies, though. Nothing short of having human blood as an ingredient could keep me from those Somoas. |
