Thursday, January 12, 2012 2:05:10 AM Obama will domuch better in the second term. Legacy term! To begin with to put him together with this lot is just ridiculous. Most things he could not do were direct result of him being blocked by republicans! |

Wednesday, January 11, 2012 3:14:21 PM How does one become a doctor and not respect the difference between a scientific theory and the colloquial use of the word "theory". Anyone who debates evolution as a fact is just an idiot, or worse, pandering to a crowd. We have more than enough proof through domestic breeding programs to prove that evolution isn't make believe. Can argue about the distinction between intelligent design and natural selection until the cows come home, but let's not mix up the easily verifiable evolution with mytholigcal finger-snapping dieties. |

Tuesday, January 10, 2012 1:40:02 AM 'What the hell do religion and science have to do with politics? Politicians are POLITICIANS, not scientists or preachers." True, as long as they don't make their decisions based on what their imaginary friend 'told' them to do, then I can live with that. |

It's clear we can no longer rule ourselves. Maybe it's time to turn ourselves back over to the Crown. British-American Colonies 2012! |

Monday, January 09, 2012 8:55:00 AM I have Americans friends who do not accept evolution, it is usually a combination of religion and really really poor teaching from a teacher who does not accept evolution and does not WANT the pupils to accept it either. The truly sad part is that they cannot see how badly their education has failed them. |

Monday, January 09, 2012 8:23:18 AM "Having said that, I also don't believe in Evolution for many reasons." Are any of them good reasons or are they religious reasons. "That doesn't make me incapable of performing a certain job or duty, it just means I'm not convinced by the evidence we have." It may make you incapable of doing research or possibly just willfully ignorant, either way this will help. http://talkorigins.org/ |

Monday, January 09, 2012 7:36:13 AM The only people who think there is a controversy are those who believe in creation. They, by definition, are religious fanatics who should go and live without electricity or any other discovery of modern science and stay away from the rest of us... |

Monday, January 09, 2012 7:28:48 AM Believing that a magical sky-man created the universe in seven days, and that mankind fell from 'grace' after being tricked by a talking snake -- yeah. Yeah, that makes perfect sense.... |

Monday, January 09, 2012 7:23:29 AM @mandingo3519 and ukulelemike: Evolution is science, and creationism is religion. This has been established by the courts. You CANNOT teach religion in a science classroom in a public school. It is not and should not be the job of government to indoctrinate children into religion. This is why we have a separation of church and state. Second of all, the schools are not the place to decide what is or isn't science. So even if creationism wasn't religion, it STILL doesn't belong in a science classroom because it hasn't established itself as a valid scientific theory in the scientific literature. Schools should teach the best supported science, not phrenology, astrology, geocentrism, or any other fringe claim. Finally, in science, a theory is not a guess, it's a well-substantiated, well-supported, well-documented explanation for our observations. |

Monday, January 09, 2012 7:08:54 AM You people are doomed. I may have to distance myself from your epic wreckage even further. Trouble is, if I head further north, it gets much colder. I could move to Europe, that might do it. |
