embarrassing, and kind of funny to see. but hey i feel bad for the guy, and its an honest mistake that could happen to young players. so i hope he's moved on for the better. |

I loved that the stupid, stupid receiver has to sell the drama by hitting his helmet against everything. He should just be apologizing to his team for never paying attention to anything. Derp. |

if he took a knee in the zone after catching the ball, it would have been down, automatic 20 yard start first down.
he never took the knee, ball was never down, other team knocked it out of his hands and scored a very legal touchdown. |

@burbclaver I think that is the reason why USA loves it so much, baseball is the same way. There is a limitless amount of rules lawyering and nit picking so you can have a 4 hour argument over a 4 second play.
But for those who don't get it: the receiver was in his own goal and should have either run the ball forward or dropped to one knee to get moved to the 20 yard line (called a touch-back) but because he did neither and just gave up possession of the ball, the defensive team picked it up and scored a touchdown.
I might be wrong about all that, I'm a d&d nerd, not a sports fan, but when you bartend you need to pretend to like sports. |
