1st: I'm just glad to see that the NYPD is now acknowledging and acting on malpractice by it's officers.

Well, that's pretty much spot on. We expect the protestors not the shiv or firebomb the cops because it's against the law, so the cops (especially) should follow the law too. |

I think it's safe to assume that the ratio is not 90/10. Flip that number and you're looking more accurate. I've only met two cops in my life that haven't tried to abuse their power (that I know of). |

he says "constitution" a lot because he's trying to make a point. That point is: The "constitution" is important. Also, the "contitution" has recently been ignored while creating policy. Lastly, if you are someone whose profession has you swear an oath to uphold the "constitution" and then you proceed to violate said "constitutional" oath, then you do not deserve that position. Constitution. |

This is probably one of the biggest reasons I don't respect cops. All citizens should be held equally in the eyes of the law, yet some - especially cops - are more equal than others.
Hell, there was a video on here a few months back of a news story about a cop pulling over another cop for speeding. The very fact that this was news worthy is disgusting. |

Give me a gun and the right to use it, and you can fire the cops, I'll protect myself.
Police are not there to help or to protect you. "Keep The Peace" is the mission statement. They are there to keep you in line. They are not concerned with right or wrong, nor with "Justice" - that's for the courts to decide. They just keep YOU in line. And they are not above any action or rights violation to do it. |
