Sunday, January 01, 2012 3:12:52 PM I'm pretty sure the Angry Video Game Nerd already showed us how this is all malarky. |

Wednesday, December 28, 2011 6:51:15 PM @Corpsecrank I will agree with you on Spirit Tracks, I'll even listen to an argument for Phantom Hourglass, but >Majora's Mask >failure >nothing to do with the series >sucks SHUT. YOUR. WHORE. MOUTH. |

Wednesday, December 28, 2011 12:40:07 PM Agreed with mega. In *my* timeline, I had the OoX's on different sides of the OoT child/adult split; where the the Links would interact across a time barrier. I also always imagined that when Link gets reverted back to a child that that world was doomed because he goes off on a different adventure while Ganondorf is still running rampant. That would lead to the eventual demise of Hyrule and thus having it flooded setting up Wind Waker. Another thing I disliked is that Skyward is now another prequel. But its areas are the same names as Twighlight Princess, which is towards the end of the series. |

Wednesday, December 28, 2011 11:57:28 AM That timeline doesn't even make sense. My favorite is link's awakening. But a link to the past is right along side it. They started to lose my at ocarina though because it started changing the game to drastically. Wind waker, majoras mask, phantom hour glass, spirit tracks those games should all be stricken from the record as total failures they have nothing to do with the series other than slapping the zelda title on weird experiments that sucked. |

Wednesday, December 28, 2011 11:01:34 AM My favorite Zelda game is Minish Cap. I'll go ahead and be a noob and say it's the only Zelda game I've bothered to beat \o/ usually I stop part of the way through and then restart the game when I want to play again months later. I'm determined to beat OOT now that I have it on my 3DS though <_< I loved Oracle of Seasons/Ages when I was a kid, still never bothered to beat them though o_o Some day, I'll play all these games "in order" of timeline. Some day... |

Wednesday, December 28, 2011 10:23:31 AM Kind of glad we finally get some confirmation after so many years. I can understand if people don't really like Zelda then they probably won't care, but for fans of the series, this is actually huge news. |

Wednesday, December 28, 2011 10:20:41 AM http://www.glitterberri.com/ uncategorized/the-real-zelda-timeline/ Source. And yes, this information is from Eiji Aonuma, one of the main voices behind the Zelda franchise. |

Wednesday, December 28, 2011 9:54:45 AM @ShroomGypsy This is the official timeline, approved by Miyamoto and Anouma, and I'm actually glad they clarified the Hero Fails line, because otherwise the Seasons games don't fit as nicely. Plus, having three timelines confuses the new kids more, and that's always a good thing. |

Wednesday, December 28, 2011 9:30:34 AM i thought that each zelda game, aside from the ones which state they are directly related (windwaker and the others, or the 4 swords), are different universes, and different timelines, with the history of evil coming back, and a hero being born. |

Wednesday, December 28, 2011 9:15:48 AM Yeah, I wasn't too keen on the 'Link fails' timeline either. It would be cool if they can find a way to make the alternative universes and timelines interact with each other though. That could make some very interesting narratives in future games. Wish I still had time to play them.... |

Wednesday, December 28, 2011 9:12:16 AM @shroom gypsy: oh how i wish that were true. nintendo released this timeline in japan some weeks ago. the fact that link fails just doesn't seem plausible to me. i've seen better timelines from fans than this one. |

Wednesday, December 28, 2011 9:04:30 AM There really is no "official" Zelda timeline. The creators have stated that certain games come before/after others, but nothing as comprehensive as this has ever been officially endorsed. |
