Father Christmas is my new santa. I'm tossing out all my jolly red dude decor (but keeping the reindeer. Nobody takes my reindeer!). I see no downsides:
1. Likes wine (check)
2. Likes a good feast (check)
3. Loves to party (check)
4. Couldn't give a Eff about kids (check)
5. Has respect for nature (check)
5. Pagan (and therefore the Christians can't snicker and act smug when they see you enjoying it, as if by liking a fat dude with reindeer somehow equals acknowledging their religion as somehow "true". Ugh...)(check)

Also, Sinterklaas comes on 6th December... (I lived in Holland for 8 years) and has a flock of black-face slaves following him which is both hilarious and horrifically racist when you see it for the first time.
