Sunday, December 11, 2011 10:43:33 PM bleh I spent far too much time in Tae kwon do..its great if you need a line up of melon heads to hold their defensive line but its too strength/power/foundation orientated to compete with something a little slicker like akido or judo. Those kids will seriously hand us our ass someday. tae kwon do + greco roman + boxing = ass kicker supreme. |

Sunday, December 11, 2011 5:47:56 PM This looked more like Irish folk dancing than martial arts. LOL Not true... when we Irish are dancing, it's usually because we've also been drinking... so a real fight breaking out is a distinct possibility. |

Sunday, December 11, 2011 1:00:39 PM I myself do taekwondo and see young kids sparring fairly often. What happened there was probably a combination of a few of the following. - In practice its usually no contact, they may have never actually kicked each other. - They were bouncing constantly because they were taught to constantly move staying on their toes and not making their moves obvious. - They weren't really using their kicks with the intention of gaining points but to simply make use of all of them without overusing one.(saw that with the fellow in the right back kicking) |
