I keep trying to find something to laugh at when I see or hear his comedy, but I can't seem to find anything he says to ever be funny. He would be good at a party I suppose. |

Because people pay him to talk in a manner that they find amusing. Your personal preferences in comedy are completely irrelevant to the status of his career.
For instance, as completely mind-numbing and unfunny as Dane Cook is, he is still, technically, a comedian. |

Yes, he's probably an atheist.
That said, there really aren't that many athiest comics. I doubt you can name a black or hispanic atheist comic. It just so happens most of the religious sect don't get especially crass, vulgar, and/or angry with their comedy, something largely encouraged on the internet. As such, Jeff Foxworthy and the likes (I hope he's a christian if I'm using him as an example...) don't have large internet followings. |

I'm not talking about this particular vid, I'm pretty sure the guy is an atheist. And of course you can be a religious person and believe in evolution, that was not my point at all. |

I don't think he said he's an atheist. He might be one and I wouldn't know, but one could be a theist while believing in evolution. Just saying. |

There are probably more atheists in stand-up because it's a profession populated by outsiders who spend a lot of time thinking critically about the absurdities of human behavior. |

I Don't know why stand-up comedians are always atheists. I'm not complaining, I'm an atheist myself but I find it kind of odd, almost as a rule. Also I think Louis C.K. is getting louder. |
