kittehdee29, What's the problem? The scene WAS in 'Apocalypse Now'. They just EXPLAINED it in the documentary 'Heart of darkness'. The script for 'Apocalypse Now' IS based on a book called Heart of Darkness by J. Conrad.
Here is the quote:
In perhaps the most famous example, the brutal breakdown of Martin Sheen’s Captain Willard IN THE OPENING SCENE OF Francis Ford Coppola’s APOCALYPSE NOW is far more real than you can imagine. EXPLAINED in the documentary Heart of Darkness made about Apocalypse Now, the scene was shot on Sheen’s birthday.

I was expecting the 1st attack scene from Jaws (The skinny dipping one). They tied rope around the girl's waist and torso and pulled on them, so the movements would look like a shark thrashing around. The screams she lets out are actual screams of pain, as she suffered bad bruising and, I think, a broken hip. At 4:05 of THIS clip. |

That scene where Viggo Mortensen kicks the helmet and screams has always made me cringe with embarrassment because the acting was so bad. I don't know what to make of the fact that it was sort of organic.

there is also the scene in the first lord of the rings movie where Gandalf bumps his head in Bilbos house. sadly I use this fact as a pick up line. |
