Sunday, December 11, 2011 3:22:09 PM I wonder what Annise Parker thinks about being the mayor of Houston when Rick Perry is all "LULZ drat DEM GAYS" I mean, since she's a lesbian. Does anyone else besides Houston know that she's gay? I wonder if he knows. He doesn't seem to know much. |

Friday, December 09, 2011 1:50:33 PM Thanks, Jendrian. It wasn't so easy for me. I had to edit IAB site preferences and delete a bunch of meebo cookies. So far so good. |

Friday, December 09, 2011 11:10:29 AM I used firefox for years until it began crashing my google home page. I switched to Chrome and found it to be too nice to malware. Then I switched to Opera and so far it seems to be working very well all except the "drag to share" issue here at IAB. It used to be at the top of the vids so no concern, but sometime in the last few days it moved down right over the play/pause button. Any idea how to get rid of it in Opera? |

Friday, December 09, 2011 9:34:45 AM Heh heh. Nice work on this post. Good move. You don't post the original, with 400,000 dislikes, you post the parody - because that is: a - more entertaining, and b - doesn't make you look stupid |

Thursday, December 08, 2011 4:02:24 PM k, here's how to get rid of meebo with AdBlock; go to Options > Customize > Hide a Section of a Webpage You'll see two boxes, first with * and second with div[class="something"] and # # between them Make it look like this: * ## m[class*="meebo"] Done, no more meebo, and rejoice |

Thursday, December 08, 2011 3:46:49 PM As a "vagina penetrator", I don't appreciate being lumped into the same category as Perry. I was raised as conservative Baptist in Texas, and while my beliefs have softened substantially in my adult years, I still find myself somewhat conflicted on a number of issues. But not any of these. I don't care about gays serving in the military as long as the military personal putting their lives on the line don't. I don't believe there's any "war" on Christmas other than the imaginary one trotted out every year by the fundamentalists. The wall of seperation between church and state is there to protect the church from the state. You can't teach faith and I'm baffled as to why anyone would want public teachers taking a crack at it rather than their religious leaders and family. We have a hard enough time with math, science, reading, and English. |

Thursday, December 08, 2011 2:50:21 PM Add this to your Adblock filter: ||cdn-www.i-am-bored.com /media/playlists/* (delete the space) That will get rid of the ugly photo gallery pics on every page. |

Thursday, December 08, 2011 2:39:59 PM He's not entirely right, though. Not all of the people responsible for the things he refers to are straight men. Some are women. Some are gay men (whether or not they admit it). So: I'm a godless heathen and I don't quite approve of this message. |

Thursday, December 08, 2011 2:33:31 PM I'd also suggest Better Privacy to Firefox users. More and more places are using Flash LSOs to track and gather data on people. Much better for that purpose than cookies - they can be any size, so all sorts of data can be held in them. Better Privacy deletes all the LSOs not on your whitelist, anytime you want or every time you close Firefox. So I have the necessary entries from Flash game sites I use in the whitelist and everything else goes away when I close Firefox. No worries. Oh, and all my normal cookies are set to be session cookies, so they disappear when I close Firefox too. They'll come up with an unblockable tracking system, but for now people are still allowed some control if they take it with 3rd party programs like Adblock, NoScript, etc. |

Thursday, December 08, 2011 2:24:53 PM Firefox + AdBlock. Drag to Share problem fixed... I use NoScript, because it gives me fine control over what sites are and are not allowed to run scripts on my PC. Hey, it's *my* PC. I should have that choice. I've just come online and come straight here. From viewing just two pages on IAB (homepage and this comments page), I have 18 different websites trying to run programs on my PC. I know that if I allow them, they will call others. The tracking companies feed off each other. I'll tolerate some degree of people advertising at me - that's the price to pay for "free" content. But it has become so bloody ridiculous that I have to take some control of it. The industry won't, so customers must. Then, of course, there's the issue of ads that feed you malware. When an ad can run scripts on your PC, it can infect you. They can be slipped into an otherwise merely irritating ad feed. It happens. Quite often. |

Thursday, December 08, 2011 2:14:51 PM What's up with the drag to share button hangin' out over the play/pause button? On face value, it's a way for IAB to be more profitable. The running costs for IAB can't be high - there's no original content to be made and it doesn't host any high-bandwidth files. So advertising could bring in enough to be nicely profitable. However, that can't be the whole story. It's very unpopular amongst IAB's customers and they know that. It results in people blocking *all* ads at IAB and they know that. It results in people not using IAB at all (because they don't know how to block the ads) and if IAB isn't run by idiots, they know that. So who knows what it's for? It makes no sense as advertising and no sense as anything else. |

Thursday, December 08, 2011 1:56:16 PM I HATE drag to share, can't even scroll the video cuz "drag to share" is plastered there on top of it. Guys, I appreciate the effort, but even though I've tried to use it it's more effort than a simple copy paste into Facebook/Google+ etc. That being said, great vid! |

Thursday, December 08, 2011 12:52:45 PM About the drag to share thing... it's never gotten in the way of me playing videos because it's always at the top of them. Sooo I wonder if it varies depending on browser or something? Because I always see people complaining about it but it's never given me any problems... |

Thursday, December 08, 2011 12:43:32 PM The Rick Perry commercial definitely shocked me, not that I didn't know he felt that way, but that you can say such things in our present society and not only be accepted, but considered for presidency? I'm so glad the majority of Americans know that it is at least a taboo subject that one should not be so openly against. This response video was cute, though I do not consider myself an atheist, but I like their general approach to things that are ridiculously bigoted. |
