Saturday, December 10, 2011 10:16:54 AM Can't watch it. PTSD. I watched a guy vegetablize himself on one of these on the freeway. He tried to soften up the blacktop with his head as his bike went another half mile on it's own. At least these guys have helmets. |

Thursday, December 08, 2011 6:47:42 AM @McGovern. I wish I had the unshakeable belief of these guys. Narrow twisting lanes, stone houses on either side, undulating tarmac. 130mph and that is *average speed* over a 17minute lap. |

Wednesday, December 07, 2011 5:05:16 PM You're not going to get a license to have a working machine gun, for example. You're not in the US either unless you've owned firearm for what I think is 5 years and then have $$$$$ for all the fees. Driving/riding in a dangerous way is illegal all over the Isle of Man, except during the racing. AHHH ok it was made to sound like you can do what you want speed wise. Screw this go play with your bikes!!!! I'm off to find the Isle of Woman you can keep your partial legstika......

Wednesday, December 07, 2011 2:18:31 PM Oh, and guns are not illegal on the Isle of Man. They're restricted, but not illegal. Well, some are illegal. You're not going to get a license to have a working machine gun, for example. It's not like the USA, but islanders can have guns to kill animals, go target shooting and suchlike. Not in the UK. Doesn't have the same laws. They like it that way. |

Wednesday, December 07, 2011 2:11:19 PM Guns are illegal there to supposedly "protect" the people but yet there's no speed limits even when not having a race do you really think it's for their "protection" then?? There are speed limits all over the UK. There are speed limits on all urban areas of the Isle of Man, except during the racing. Any part of the Isle of Man can have a speed limit put on it. What they don't have is a blanket island-wide speed limit. Driving/riding in a dangerous way is illegal all over the Isle of Man, except during the racing. |

Wednesday, December 07, 2011 2:07:43 PM I like the part where the guy died... He didn't die. He was back racing the same event the next year. Only faster. Remember folks guns are bad but endangering your life and the lives of those around you to go extremly high speeds is jolly good fun in the UK!! It's not in the UK. The Isle of Man is a Crown Protectorate, not actually part of the UK. It's a complicated arrangement. Racers choose to race. Spectators choose to spectate. So your comparison is silly. |

Wednesday, December 07, 2011 12:50:27 PM @NOCASH Guns are illegal there to supposedly "protect" the people but yet there's no speed limits even when not having a race do you really think it's for their "protection" then?? UK critisizes our guns I critisize lack of speed limits a heavy chunk of steel plowing into you at least over 100 mph is as deadly as any gun. ON the bright side mabey we can sponsor ducati riding guido douchebags to ride this and help dedouchify the planet. |

Wednesday, December 07, 2011 12:03:10 PM McGovern this is an organized race, everyone knows the risks involved. These guys are as good as they come at what they do, making mistakes only by inches can spell disaster at the speeds they are traveling. One missed entry on a corner affects your speed and racing line into the next corner which are numerous on this course seeing as it is over 35 miles long while averaging around 100-130mph. The sheer amount of concentration and nerves of steel it would require to do this are as far as I am concerned unbelievable. Comparing deaths from a racing event to that of guns is pretty dumb, guns were designed to kill things. These bikes are designed to push the limits of speed that man can achieve on two wheels, pretty impressive if you ask me. |

Wednesday, December 07, 2011 11:16:55 AM Do they still do Mad Sunday when they let any member of the public ride the course? That was even more dangerous than the event. |

Wednesday, December 07, 2011 10:30:21 AM The Isle of man quite is not part of UK its a British Crown Dependency, which means they make rules like no speeding limits on country roads |

Wednesday, December 07, 2011 10:27:28 AM @MattPrince Yes, your bike is an extension of your penis... and it's still small. I'm all set with that I like keeping my body in one piece and not being road cheese for the entertainment of others but please go ahead your organs will be useful for those in need if there's any left. |
