@britt566 - What video were you watching? She clearly blew the kid off. I don't know what else you'd call responding to his statement with "bye bye."
In any case, despite the fact that I loathe Bachmann's stance on homosexuality and adamantly support the right of same-sex couples to marry and raise children, I do find it distasteful that this particular mother decided to use her small child, who is too young to understand politics, to make a political point. |

Michele Bachmann is braindead and never knows what to say but in this situation there is nothing to say. Even if she had a thought out answer (LOL) why argue it with a kid who clearly was told to say it and didn't even want to. It's also one thing to counter-point an opposing adult but anything contradictory she might of said no matter how thought out, polite, or un-biggoted (if that's possible on this one) would have been spun as inappropriately interfering with the parents choice of upbringing. |

Uggh for people saying "I think she just didnt know what to say" SHE NEVER KNOWS WHAT TO SAY! she has the WORST "go to" answers EVER! And 90% of the time she has NO answer and PANICS and just kind of chuckles and looks like an awkward MORON. |

michele bachmann sucks, but as everyone has said, there was no dissing and no blowing off.
However I would like to know how she would have handled the situation had the kid not run off out of embarrassment because of his stupid parents. |

i don't think she dissed the kid. i don't think she knew what to say. i would be shocked too if a kid whispered that in my ear despite whether he was told to or not. |

This is just as bad as making your kid hold your home-made 'pro life' sign in front of the Planned Parenthood. Why not let the kid form his own opinion through his own course of life? The woman already has an upper hand (or set back, depending on her parental skills) by raising him in a tolerant environment. |

This video is pretty shameful. I don't personally like Bachmann but she did the right thing under the circumstances. The mother of the child was definitely in the wrong for dragging her kid into a battle he has no right being in. And 'Young Gay Rights Activist?' Uhh, no. Step it up, Fancy. |
