I had a girlfriend of 5 years who would always jokingly call me a c*ck. As in, "You're such a c*ck, tee hee". When I would respond immediately by pointing out that she was a c*nt, she got all upset, because that was a horrible thing to call someone.
I'm not sure what the moral of that parable is (something to do with societal norms and misogyny and gender attitudes), but either way, re-reading it over, it makes me look like a bit of an assh*le. |
