if this wasn't about michael jackson, would anyone really care? if it was some shlub and not jackson, and the guy died, would he be where he is now? probably not. |

MJ paid the guys thousands of dollars to give him dangerous drugs. Ergo, MJ killed himself.

That's the most telling statement in the whole video. You might as well say that the identity of the VICTIM is what distinguishes this involuntary manslaughter case from all the rest.

Is it not funny though, all the people that OD and their suppliers are not held on "murder" charges,but let a celebrity die and it happens. I only have one more thing about this, I am sick and tired of hearing about MJ all the damn time. He was a good artist to most people, but let the man R.I.P. |

I see this case as very similar to the Johannes Mehserle case. In both cases you have a "professional" that is incompetent at their job which results in someone dieing. The difference here is that I think that Conrad Murray believed that he was doing the right thing (even though he was actually incompetent) compared to Mehserle who clearly was incompetent.
Thus, I think that since Mehserle only got 2 years in prison, that this 4 year sentence is way too harsh. |

HWkiller, you not knowing anything about it is EXACTLY why you should be quiet. He not only supplied, but injected the drugs himself, irresponsibly and in a manner specifically advised against. Michael Jackson is not a medical doctor with extensive knowledge of operating room drugs and their administration. Conrad Murray is. |

He didn't literally kill the guy though.
I'm not caught up on the story, to be fair, but didn't he merely supply the drugs that killed Michael?
It's like trying to convict a guy of murder for selling the gun a man committed suicide with.
He shouldn't have ethically provided the drugs, or should've controlled the drugs better if he knew MJ had a problem, but *he* didn't kill MJ. MJ killed himself. |

The reason Micheal was not convicted was because the families were in to much of a hurry to sell there stories to the tabloids, making all that evidence against him inadmissible.I think the Doc should have got a medal and been given the job as doctor to ALL child molesters |

I hate how all these judges in high profile cases, especially when the case related to a celebrity, go on, and on, and on, and on, like attention wh*res because they know the whole world is watching. Spare me your boring speeches, all I want to hear is either guilty/not guilty & for how long you're throwing the guy in the pokey, that's all. I'm sure he already has a book deal in the works & all that happy horsesh*t so give it a rest. |

Didn't we all know it was going to be the maximum?
It's a high profile case and when the Judge is up for Re-Election you can bet this will come up, whether he is "soft on crime" or not.
But 4 is the new 2 years. Some are saying less considering the crowding rate is actually going up now. |

He didn't administer the drugs, he just also didn't control them enough. Honestly, I think losing his license would be enough by itself. Michael took the drugs, the doctor's blame is in providing them and nothing more. |

Jackson was a drating pedophile, and paid off his victims families to drop charges (on multiple occasions!) and walked away scott free. This guy kills him and get's 4 years!? He should've been thanked and hugged by parents everywhere. Ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous. |
