Friday, December 02, 2011 7:09:39 AM how distracting is that! it's bad enough when they light the bottom, but to have seizure inducing graphics on the side of the car? do i have to have it greet me? must everything be hooked to the web? does it follow me where i go, does toyota know where i am all the time. sorry, a car should be a thing that gets you from A to B and nothing more. it shouldn't light, greet, or be distracting in any way. if they want to focus on something let it be a car that drives itself. |

Tuesday, November 29, 2011 7:41:14 AM What a pain in the ass it would be to keep clean enough to use. Frankly it looks like random people passing by would have more fun with it than the actual owner. I give this a giant "meh". |

Tuesday, November 29, 2011 6:41:49 AM You have to ask...why? Simply why? As if there weren't already enough distractions on the road, what, with mobile phones, satnavs and ridiculous OTT hi fis. |

Tuesday, November 29, 2011 1:53:26 AM In the end, this technology won't be released for consumers but for companies who want to advertise products on their trucks. |

Monday, November 28, 2011 8:32:51 PM con_uk By then the car will be reporting everything it does anyway, most likely including GPS notification of its route. OBD3 is already coming, and its bad enough. Shudder to think what OBD4 will have. |

Monday, November 28, 2011 2:55:30 PM I checked the driver's side impact rating on that one - instead of an A, B, or C they just drew a little skull and crossbones. |

Monday, November 28, 2011 2:17:06 PM "I'd pay $500 for it. Yeah that's right. It's a pile of crap. What kind of flippant conceded snob would you have to be to need to change your car's appearance based on your mood? What good would it do?" The same "conceited snobs" that get to throw pretend birds at pretend green pigs on their smartphones. Something doesn't need a use to be popular or cool, it just needs to be fun. |

What kind of flippant conceded snob would you have to be to need to change your car's appearance based on your mood? What good would it do? Well... that's why we have concept stuff. You try it out first, then you throw the idea away. |

Monday, November 28, 2011 11:19:59 AM "I will stake my life on that car never making the production line." It's a concept car, that's kind of the point. The idea is to show what might be possible in the future. |

Monday, November 28, 2011 10:44:47 AM @Buiadh- Concept cars are not meant for production, thery merely showcase new developements in technology and design. I think the interenet diagnostics linked to a dealership would be a moneymaker.I could even see-given time- insurance companies lobbying for it; Any excuse to raise the administrative costs and passing it on to consumers. |
