Saturday, December 03, 2011 11:51:26 PM I've been to Korea. Although the roads are relatively safe, you can do some stupid stuff. One time I unknowingly got in a car with a crazy driver. We were doing 140+kph on the wrong side of the road. :o |

Friday, December 02, 2011 6:40:54 AM i have a hard time believing that was a tow truck, considering one pulled up in front of them. but even if it was an ambulance, that's really crazy, it must have caused accidents on the way there. and is every car equipped with cameras in that area? |

Monday, November 28, 2011 4:19:22 PM CrakrJak- Mebbe things changed in the nearly 40 years- used to work for Lincoln Park Pirates in the mid 70's, we were... competitive, yeah that would be one word for it. Cutthroat and crooks would be other names. Cops got kickbacks when recommending our service; That includes staties for highways and toll roads, and city cops for surface streets. If called, we charged premium fees, as it took us away from our usual business- we had a city towing contract, and on slow shifts(We had quotas) we were encouraged to bring in legally parked vehicles- and we generally got away with it. |

Monday, November 28, 2011 3:26:15 PM kittehdee: Usually tow trucks in the US, and I live in Illinois by the way, aren't that cutthroat competitive. Where I've lived the police dispatchers cycle through a list of local towing companies so that they each get an equal amount of 'crash' business. If there are multi-car accidents they call out one tow truck company for each car or truck involved. The same is done for ambulance companies too. |

Monday, November 28, 2011 1:37:33 PM Tow truck drivers often get paid by the pickup when it comes to accidents, and it's not just in Korea. I live in Chicago and almost got hit by a tow truck racing to get to an accident. He ran a red light (that had been red for a good 5 seconds) so he could beat everyone else. |

Monday, November 28, 2011 1:24:50 PM Korea is full of piss-poor drivers so I'm not surprised by this. Even normal cars will drive on the side of the wrong road to get around someone and not even pay attention to whether or not someone's coming from that direction. Traffic lights and other road rules are more like a suggestion than a law. Needless to say, they have very frequent accidents. I hate driving where I live but honestly I'd be terrified in Korea. Even bus drivers and taxi drivers do this kind of stuff. x-x |

Monday, November 28, 2011 12:42:48 PM @naomlette, the height of the dashboard means it's a truck, and then you see a bunch of other tow trucks (2 min in) being just as reckless and you notice that they are racing. Plus they arrive at the scene of a car crash and put themselves in front of it. This was insane, it felt like need 4 speed... |

Monday, November 28, 2011 12:04:57 PM Who says the vehicle with the dashboard cam WAS a tow truck? Everything in the video says to me that it's a police car. It's a case of mistaken labeling. |

Monday, November 28, 2011 11:44:06 AM I lived there for 8 years. This is nothing. The police don't enforce the traffic laws. The reason Americans think they are bad drivers is because they are use to not following traffic laws. |

Monday, November 28, 2011 11:40:56 AM The good news is they won't have to call a tow truck when they have the accident. My favorite highlight of the video is the fap-kin box and bags of cocaine visible in the window reflection. |

Monday, November 28, 2011 11:00:09 AM Drives it like he stole it, insane. All that risking your, and others. life(s) for a tow ? The Korean's need to stop this lunacy ASAP. |
