Thursday, December 01, 2011 1:27:27 PM how are we going to protect the postal service? everything comes with fedex and ups, mail is expensive and slow. it will probably die out, but it has to do more with us then the government. |

Sunday, November 27, 2011 8:37:33 AM Bernie Sanders? Really? and you expected to see anything else? As far as privatization, how does UPS or FedEX stack up vs the USPS? We are the people that pay the bills of the bloated government bureaucracies. Along with the higher salaries, and retirement benefits afforded most government employees or quasi-employees. We the 99% should be railing against paying such higher than needed costs. |

Saturday, November 26, 2011 11:35:01 PM Anyone else notice the mailbox has been transformed into a sort-of "reverse trashcan"? A truck brings trash that you carry to another container for another truck to carry away. Insanity. |

Saturday, November 26, 2011 11:28:02 PM As a completely unrelated aside, and I'm probably wrong, but he doesn't look or sound old enough to me to be a WW2 vet. |

Saturday, November 26, 2011 9:15:21 PM A wise man once said, "There's no fool like and old fool." Ladies and gentlemen, you were just treated to the rantings of an old fool. Serving in a war may earn you some respect, but it doesn't raise your IQ. This guy was an idiot before he shipped out, and he's still an idiot today. I've no doubt that he voted for Bernie Sanders, the only declared Socialist in congress. |

Saturday, November 26, 2011 5:57:20 PM They aren't just making it harder to vote, they're putting up total $#!+ heads to represent us. I hate going to the Goddamn Polls because I am effectively empowering either one total dumbass or another to make decisions for me about my own Goddamn well being. This would be fine, if I actually knew the MF'er that was running, but generally, they have some surreptitious agenda to which I am not party.

Of course the postal service isn't doing well right now. What company COULD do well with Congress approving/disaproving every move!!! Congress can't run itself, let a lone a large operation like the Postal Service. Besides, they can't change it without a constitutional ammendment. It's in there they have to establish postal service. "establish" not "provide" or "purchase". Meaning they have to have their own Postal service. Article I, Section 8, Clause 7 of the Constitution. |

Saturday, November 26, 2011 2:52:00 PM Also fed ex charges WAY more and services only select areas. ------------- FedEx only limits the areas they serve so they can afford to lobby congress to get the postal service shut down. |

Saturday, November 26, 2011 2:17:58 PM " Why would you fight to protect to the postal service? It's hemorrhaging money and private companies like FedEx and UPS supply much better services. " Why would one fight to keep the postal serive ? i dont know mabye becuase it has always been able to generate enough money to not need taxpayers money. Well that was until the republicans passed a pension bill that basically forced the postal service to pay for all there employees and even future employees pension in advance up to 15 years or so. Also fed ex charges WAY more and services only select areas. |

Saturday, November 26, 2011 11:23:51 AM He's old, so it's likely he is retired- technically making him unemployed. He speaks of being part of the 99%, so he's a radical. One must decide for oneself if his personal hygiene is up to snuff. For me, I just want to say: Get a job you damn dirty hippie!-See how I can overlook/alter key facts and circumvent issues by indulging in pointless hyperbole? Wow, that's pretty easy and costs next to nothing; I wonder why politicians haven't picked up on... hey, wait just a minute... |

Saturday, November 26, 2011 11:22:05 AM Why would you fight to protect to the postal service? It's hemorrhaging money and private companies like FedEx and UPS supply much better services. On another note, people called Fox News a bunch of fear mongers for saying that our liberties were disappearing, that liberal corporations and individuals like George Soros where running the show and people scoffed. Now when it's a liberal movement it's perfectly acceptable to say that? Make up your mind. |
