It's like my high school exam. You have to write a composition about a certain topic that is provided. But the thing is that you can pass the exam by just writing correctly, even if you don't write creatively or if there is no personal opinions, you can still pass. The text can be complete bullpoo, as long as you write it correctly. (Spelling and grammar) |

Yes, the reason your education won't be fixed is that the owners of the country don't want it. They are of course the unions and the legacy media, along with the professional political establishment (mostly left-wing, as right-wing/libertarian politicians tend to come from successful careers into politics). The wealthy business interests have nothing to do with it. They want educated employees, who need less training and reduce tax (by being more likely to be gainfully-employed, so pay tax).
i.e. Carlin is an idiot. Almost got it right, but actually is clueless about the incentives. |

The trouble with screwing over the system is that it doesn't scew over the big corporations which control the system; ultimately the book stops at the tax payer, so it's the tax oayers who get screwed over every time. |

LOL, still funny and still a negative view of who we are. George is a funny "Hippy Dippy Weatherman", but his politics are still as wrong today, as they were back when he was young and a lib. Just because he is dead, and was a multi- millionaire liberal celeb, doesn't make him a prophet, fortune teller, or even correct.

I've seen this so many times ... and I'll hopefully see it many more. I'll never tire of hearing George rant, and I'm only grateful so many of his performances were filmed before we lost him.
What does it say about our culture that the only people who really speak the truth are comedians? |
