Regardless of party if the masses keep electing carrier politicians the level of ploutokratia will increase to it destroys the American republic. Name one federally elected politician who is facing personal economic hardship as they sink our economy. Voting for any incumbent federally elected Democrat or Republican is just self destructive. I will not be voting for Obama because I do not believe in rewarding failure and I do not believe his replacement will be much better but, he will have 3.5 years to prove me wrong.

I know right, that world wide economy thing is so easy to fix, they should just call in a tech support guy and poof it should all go back to how it was. What's all this BS about things taking time?

madest: Obama's legacy will be that of ranking the #2 worst president America has ever had, right behind James Buchanan. Obama makes even Jimmy Carter and Millard Filmore look preferable.

I-IS-BORED:

* There are 2 million fewer private-sector jobs now than when Obama was sworn in, and the unemployment rate is 1.5 percentage points higher.
* There are now more long-term unemployed than at any time since the government started keeping records.
* The U.S. dollar is more than 12% weaker.
* The number of Americans on food stamps has climbed 37%.
* The Misery Index (unemployment plus inflation) is up 62%.
* And the national debt is about 40% higher than it was in January 2009.

Wow CJ, I hope your penis is longer than your memory. Baiting me with hero worship? Come on. I hope Obama does have a challenger in the general election. As it looks your party is so bereft of talent that my prediction of an 8 year presidency is bank.

madest: You're one to talk about denial, you still think the recession we are in is all GW Bush's fault.

Obama need never have a figurative bullet-proof vest when he has morons like you willing to cover for him.

Yeah, it was the lowly workers and their expression of outrage against the customers that was allowed to coin the term for the day. Not the people who owned the lowly workers. It was their way of giving something back, to give them some power in the naming of that day. Because like Ayn Rand said, it's the poor that really have the power. Because they are allowed it.

LOL. Go ahead and make some shiat up (meme), some of it might stick (meme) and then you can befuddle people one day with the "true" meaning. And it will make us all spill our drinks.

This is what happens when people cannot distinguish between what is important to survival and what is not.

I've actually never heard to red to black tags/prices/whatever story. I was either told or just assumed black friday was coined because in english, there is a precedent to call negative things black and the day after thanksgiving is when I try to avoid all the horribly annoying people and instead shop online. I didn't know there was a whole retail-oriented explanation to it...weird.

And those galleries are annoying, but I am going to let it pass since I know fancy is just trying to get them up on the site and I think the picture links on every page are just temporary. Let's give the guy a break, shall we?

Republicans deny facts to suit whatever moronic policy they support. You're a prime example of that fact. This is just another evolution, global warming type denial. Truth is I could care less about what the stupid believe. I knew Black Friday wasn't about retailers profits for years. This simply proves me right.

madest: Liberals invent their own 'truth' in opposition to common sense and anything they deem 'conservative'.

Just because some people in Philadelphia once believed 'Black Friday' was a hardship, because of traffic snarls, doesn't mean it's inherently an evil term.

The liberal mindset has a disdain for capitalism and commercialism, and a talent for spinning good things to mean bad things to bolster their propaganda and foster class warfare, socialism, and 'social justice'.

I believe I predicted that the liberals would find some stupid pretext to make the term 'Black Friday' out to mean something evil, here on IAB just a few days ago.

So you agree that the truth is a liberal virtue? The past couple of years this new line about Black Friday meaning the day that retailers get into the black nonsense is proven here as nonsense and you think that lie is what should be believed? Typical.

OldOllie: I agree with you on that, the photo lineup placement is not only awkward but annoying as well, please Fancy, move them elsewhere out of the way.
