Nah, I'm with Jacque Fresco on the whole root of all ideas. No invention's blueprint is just immediately drawn from the universe, it is our process of learning, understanding, adapting and improving upon our mistakes that gradually, through trial and error, allows us to test new things and in time produce new inventions through abstract ideas. But no idea, say for an airplane, is a perfect vision of its full functionality. |

If Joe's not sure, he should throw himself off a building. If he lands like he's fallen onto a giant marshmallow, shakes himself off and says "that was trippy" then he is dreaming. If he pops like a fly on a windscreen, and for that one fleeting moment, embraces the sheer overwhelming agony of it all before fading to black, then I think it'd be safe to say he was (previously) conscious. |

This kind of existential thinking is facinating and mind boggeling and fustrating at the same time.
