"I agree they have a right to voice their opinions. But I also agreed the Tea Party had a right to express it's opinions too."

Yeah Outwest. It is hypocrisy. The Tea Party was considered violent and hate filled....

....and OWS is heralded as peaceful and non violent.

hmm... I never liked Newt much. But after watching this?

I agree they have a right to voice their opinions. But I also agreed the Tea Party had a right to express it's opinions too.

I hate the hypocrisy of some of my fellow citizens.

Although, when the OWS movement has ran it's course the participants can emigrate to Canada, become College Professors, or go to work in Hollywood. Just like they did after the 60's.

Hypocrites on both sides!

We should rename the US 'massengill' because you seem to breed so many douches.

It's not alright for members of the public to block the usage of public spaces for other members of the public just to promote their ideas.

If I wanted to form a human in front of a high school and keep school buses from dropping and picking up students from school should I be able to? No. Is it O.K. to block a university? Of course not.

I'm not saying that I agree with the disgusting treatment of the OWS protestors in the past few weeks, I don't. I don't agree with how OWS is doing their protesting.

Aren't you suppose to get permits for this kind of stuff?

Btw, Newt Gingrich is a douchebag and I hope he never takes the White House.

tommy2X4-"We want the same health care that you have"

Then do the same job he does, or one with applicable benefits. (or pay for it yourself). He gets his health care as part of the compensation for his job. I get mine as part of my compensation for my job. I perfectly happy with it. (I DO, think, however, congresscritters should get less benefits).

thubanstar-"about 99% of people not being able to find health care, not being paid a living wage even when they DO work"

So, you're saying 309 million people in the US can't find health care? I'm not in the top 1% by far, and I have no problem finding healthcare.

And you're also saying that 309 million people in the US make below $16 per hours? The IRS dissagrees with you. $16 per hour gives you ~33,280 annually. Seeing as the average wage is $46,326 annually, it would seem that your 99% number is a tad high.

VirtualParty-"someone who attends fancy dinner parties every other day and I doubt he has worked a real job for as long as some of the people at that very movement."

Funny, you just described Obama. (Except, we KNOW he has never worked a real job.)

I'm canadian and don't know much about USA politics but I think it's outrageous that even today people like this guy spread hate like that, and he's being applauded too! So many people have fought for peace and equality. How come people listen to him? I'm all for freedom of speech but how come this man is being looked up to. People need to educate themselves and stop spreading comments like "dirty hippie go take a bath". This is pure and simple propaganda.

Conservatism is blocking the progress of society.

That fat self-righteous prick left his wife on her deathbed to marry some other chick. Listening to him claim the moral high ground is hilarious.

deathbed? Really? She's still alive many years later. -100 internets for your failure to research.

Here is a simple fact for all who despise the OWS protests, particularly if you think the police has a right to break them up. They are peaceful, plain and simple. They have the right to peacefully assemble. The violence of the OWS protesters does not compare to the violence perpetrated by the police officials. Let them protest, regardless of the validity of their claims.

In order...

"We owe them everything" No, but politicians OWE it to us to represent US, not corporations handing out cash.

"Take over a public park they didn't pay for" They ARE the public and Yes, I paid for it with taxes I paid the last 35 years.

"Use bathrooms they didn't pay for" Restrooms for Customers Only sign - they have to buy something.

"Beg for food" I have never seen this...what protest has he gone to where he saw this? He made that up.

"To instruct the [Productive People]" No, to give warning to politicians they hd better clean up their act...or else.

"Left has collapsed society" Pretty certain is was the Rights tax and bank policies that got us here. Left's spending didn't help though.

"Go get a job right after you take a bath". First I already bathed today and when 500 people apply for 1 job it's not as easy as it sounds 'get a job'. I know.

Dams Newt. The left collapsed the moral system. Why did you cheat on your wife and then leave her for a younger woman? And as for OWS, you lied to them. spend $100,000 on a piece of paper and you will get a $150,000 job when your done. But no one ever told me I could be a auto tech, or a truck driver, or a carpenter, or a plumber or have any other skilled trade. NO! NO! you drilled it in my brain that I'm lower then dirt with out that paper. You told me that flipping burgers is bad. Its wrong. Now I have that paper and you tell me to go flip burgers!!! F-U. I want what you told me I was going to get. Where is it!?! I want it NOW!!!

"They are occupying public spaces and getting in the way of people's lives."

I don't think protests are meant to be convenient.

Gingrich did say something I do agree with. They are occupying public spaces and getting in the way of people's lives. They should not be depriving people of their public spaces. They are getting in the way of people who are trying to just live their lives.

I understand the sentiments of those who think that free speech should not be quelled because protesting presents a minor inconvenience. However, occupying parks, public bathrooms, campuses, and streets for weeks is too much.

houtex... Please look up some stuff about OWS and THEN decide, K? It's about 99% of people not being able to find health care, not being paid a living wage even when they DO work, and it's about the collapse of the economy, courtesy of people who could easily afford things that, not only can the ordinary, hard working American not dream about, but has a hard time even imagining.

It's basically about distributing money made more fairly. Just because someone belongs to a family with money or has made millions (or billions) does not mean they should treat those who helped make that money like peasants. It's like the Industrial Age in England or the Robber Baron age over here.

There is an inequality that needs to be fixed so the benefits of labor can be shared more fairly. Not asking for handouts. Not asking for anything that the rich could not easily afford if they were more fair minded. I'm not anti-rich, just pro middle-class.

Salamander Gingrich just alienated many of his constituents, just like Cain, Perry, and Bbachman before him. Let the Republicans spew forth the rhetoric that will lose them the election!

The issue of OWS and other movements is NOT entitlement. The complaint is opportunity.

Horse apples. We the people didn't create this economic collapse. We didn't skyrocket the deficit. We didn't allow big business to pollute our country or corner markets so problems couldn't be fixed. The Government, politics and big business did using OUR tax dollars. They do owe us. Big time.

i can half agree with him. they are taking up space in the park , bathrooms etc. a portion out there is fighting for something random and killing the cause. but i'd really like to see him get a job. if it was as easy as he says it is, there would be no need for a protest.
