"A poet once said, 'life can be a challenge, life can seem impossible, but it's never easy when there's so much on the line.'"

These words of wisdom were uttered by disco queen Donna Summer in her song "The Power of One." This isn't even one of Summer's classic hits, she recorded it just over a decade ago as the theme song for Pokemon: The Movie.

Other people quote Dillon or Lennon, why not throw some Donna out there! The Black Walnut's got his disco ball out and we need a president who can really give us a song and dance!

By the way... "999" is '666' upside down.
Just sayin'

@Collegebound: The line from the Pokemon song, is an excerpt from a song by Donna Summer. Arguably, she's a poet, and she could be classified as great, seeing as how she was a successful songwriter for 20 years.

random - how would he know whats important? would he have to blindly listen to others. how would he know they didnt just tell him what he wants to hear. we need a president who KNOWS things about other countries that are of importance. we live in a global economy and he cant see past his doorstep. trivia is there so we can see just how stupid he is. funny he CANT do it but everyone else seems to not have a problem with it.

@auburnjunky - That's your defense? He used slightly different words but said the exact same thing xD

Cain - "We need a leader, not a reader."

Arnie - "I was elected to lead, not to read."

These aren't the same. Don't you have something better to do?

If you can say something that has never been said before then you're probably insane.

It's a good line. It's also true. Why should he not use it?

Jops - you clearly don't understand leadership, or what Mr Cain said. He is not advocating not knowing what is happening, nor is he advocating fallowing [sic]. He is advocating leading, and knowing what is important, not spend so much time on trivia that he is unable to know what is important.

As for following - the man currently inhabiting the White House follows in everything, even the autocue in his speeches that were the only thing anyone ever claimed he did well.

Didn't hear anyone complain when Obama did entire speeches out of song lyrics.

That doesn't mean he stole it - you know how many people come up with the same ideas for inventions everyday? Only one of them will ever get paid for it.

i'm trying to remember where i saw this on, it was where obama, cain, and what's her face were all in it together, so they can break into a bank after they win. it didn't matter who won as long as one of them was a president so they can go through some secret tunnel. it was kind of lame, and yet, reminds me of this wacky campaign.

in either case, this cain, is a pretty good con artist. i'm starting to think it doesn't matter who runs, as long as you say things people want to hear - that's all that's needed.

Oh my drating God! Is he seriously speaking against intellectualism, and suggesting that we need someone stupid, or of mediocre intellect, in the White House?!
