Some laughable comments on here. God forbid that some kid should stick his head above the herd and actually try to achieve something. Would you find it more appealing if he just sat on the couch watching X-Factor and stuffing burgers in his mouth?
And as for the comments about 'he's just reading a script' and 'his mother wrote it for him'... you mean this 12 year old child might have prepared for the speech he gave to a convention? What a disgrace...
I'd be proud if that was my kid. |

glad your mom helped you rehearse every syllable of that speech. not falling for the well spoken teen techno-nerd bit. my little brother makes pooty apps too, he just googled the instructions. post a video when you build something that's relevant to anything. |

An app club? Brilliant. My high school had a million different classes on how to draw, but not one of them taught programming and not one club was really based on it. To all the people hating on this kid, he's going to be the next Steve Jobs, so shut up and play with the apps that people like him have already made for you. |

iPhone development isn't that hard, alot of the simple GUI components are drag and drop. Only gets tricky when you start doing real backend stuff like network comm and controlling some of the hardware like the GPU graphics pipeline. |

Gerry- A well-designed iPad app uses the tools inherent in the system to make an interface that bests the click and load system associated with web browsers. An example would be Flipboard, which turns information into something akin to a magazine, where page turns are coupled with point and zoom to make the experience feel like the best of both a magazine and the internet. I-A-B, with a good team, can create an app that is even better than the browser experience. And Fancy: I look forward to seeing it! |

@gerry I know what you mean I visit The Chive often on my ipad & iphone, they recently made an app and it works horrible. If thy want traffic from mobile devices they should just make a mobile device friendly site http://www.i-am-bored.com/mobile/ |

Why o why didn't the parents point out to the kid that the Android environment has an open and free distribution channel with no licensing fees. And it allows to control more of the hardware. |
