Tuesday, November 15, 2011 6:00:56 PM meh only works once. just listen to the lower notes played right before the higher one, it'll seem to start over. or just skip to the beginning in the middle. |

Tuesday, November 15, 2011 2:03:39 AM Strange, I hear the voice of God telling me to slaughter the wicked in his righteous name. Anyone else getting that? Yes, and to vote for Republicans. |

Monday, November 14, 2011 2:28:42 PM It's playing two pitches at once and your brain is fooling you into hearing something different. |

Monday, November 14, 2011 10:04:50 AM yaaaaay! Something I can explain! I took way too many music theory listening classes not to be able to. The phenomena that causes you to pick out the continuous ascending is known as the overtone. In each and every frequency of sound you will ever hear there is a corresponding upper octave that rings through. The reason it keeps going up when you replay it is because you are anticipating the continuation, so your brain naturally picks out the overtones to make sense of the sound. It only works going up though, there are no such things as undertones, so it would not work if you were descending the line. |

Monday, November 14, 2011 9:45:52 AM I heard it keep ascending the first time, but then I switched my brain and the rest of the replays were normal again lulz. I can do the same thing with those spinning images where you normally can't tell if they're spinning clockwise or anti-clockwise. It's not a very useful skill to have, but I enjoy it ^_^ |
