Saturday, November 12, 2011 4:57:33 PM CaptainPabst-"why did only 1 side burn?" Rear differential. In rear wheel drive vehicles, the differential allows the wheels on each side to turn at different speeds. If both wheels were driving the same amount, turning would be much hard as both tires would try to push the car straight ahead. The problem is that when one wheel loses tractions (mud, snow, or breaking lose in a spin-out) all the power goes to that wheel. This can be overcome in two ways: A Limited-Slip Differential will only allow one wheel to have a limited amount of power more than the other. A Locking Differential 'Locks' the wheels togethers, so both get equal amounts of power. It can be turned on or off by the driver. |

Saturday, November 12, 2011 10:47:44 AM Instant IQ test: Did you, at any point during this video, go "Woooooooooo"? If so, I have an inheritance of $20,000,000 I need to clear. All you have to do is send me the "release fee" of $10,000 and I'll send you 30% of the $20,000,000 for your troubles. |

Saturday, November 12, 2011 10:09:08 AM Whoo, you can do a burnout, good for you. That's real rocket science stuff you got going on there, bud. Boom, there go the tires, happy? ... Really? |

Saturday, November 12, 2011 8:51:10 AM So the fact that I don't think it amusing that tires burn away under enough friction means I have a stick up my ass? Or the fact that I don't like gaybashing, nor put burning crosses in someones frontyard? *winking at mykunter* |

Saturday, November 12, 2011 8:35:34 AM @cityncolour I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that everyone who thinks this is cool is probably less intelligent than you or I. |

Saturday, November 12, 2011 8:09:13 AM @mykunter well... i "get" why someone would do a "burnout," in a sense that their engine has the ability to accelerate fast enough that the tires just spin. But to just set the brake and sit on the gas..? I'm gonna have to agree with marcus2 and kemic. not a stick in the ass i'm afraid... just not as easily amused. |
