Pornography can be addictive and dangerous to young people. It often portrays an innacurate representation of what normal sexual relationships are like, in a way that is indistinguishable from reality. It has ties to drug and alchohol abuse, the industry's been known to be exploitive, and sends some pretty horrible messages about how women should be treated in a sexual relationship.
In fairness, Twighlight is about as bad. But at least in the context of vampries and werewolves there a surrounding element of fantasy. Pornography presents itself with the implication that it's a voyueristic peek into a secret reality, which it's very often not.
If you're a responsible, aware adult then more power to you. Feel free to watch what you want. |
