That's called Descriptive Geometry. If you are 14 years old and pay attention on your math class, you can do that with the help of threads just as pictured, though shopping is not excluded. Art comes later - colouring and shading and whatnot. Example |

It's called the 'Grid Method', and it's been used by artist since Euclid.
It's just reference points, and still hard as hell to do. |
