I have hunted snappers for years and have caught several larger than that.One that size could probably break a wooden broom handle in half with one bite.They can be very nasty! |

I had a tiny version of one of these. It was about 5 inches long and could extend its neck around a foot in about 3 seconds under water. It was a creepy mother f ucker. I had to let it go because I figured out it would be pretty much impossible to clean its tank and keep all of my fingers. |

evam, thaty just feed it in that so as not to make a mess in his pad. Still, unless he was feeding it he shouldn't be teasing it for amusement. I was under the impression they were carnivores though. |
