The dam looked like it was almost completely silted in anyway. It probably wasn't going to be useful as a dam much longer any how. |

Cool video and good for the environment in the long run.. but I feel bad for all the people with lake houses up river that now don't have a lake.... from reading the articles about this it looks like the power company took the cheap way out.. blow up a damn instead of putting in an expensive fish ladder and just charge more for power from the other plants cause they are going to have to work harder to pick up the slack |

After lurking in the shadows for a year or so finally decided to register. Yes, i know when I'm getting myself into 
@Draculya: The dams are causing ecological imbalances. The biggest being the huge decrease in the Salmon population, because they cannot travel up the rivers due to the dams blocking their path. So, in order to restore balance to the world work has started to remove as many dams as possible, such as this one which are no longer needed. Take a gander |
