This is called checks and balances. What people don't realize that cops are not untouchable. There is always someone up the food chain. Like this, the country has jurisdiction over city officers. Over the county you have state troopers which if this was a county officer the state could pull him over. Then federal over state. I see it all the time. |

Where I live I always see cops pull over other cops just to do checks on each others cruisers, but this is just hilarious. |

Being a police officer he was armed. He was driving recklessly and did not respond to either sirens, blue lights or commands from the female officer. He must either be on drugs or someone stole the police car.
I would have drawn my weapon too... |

Of course, i'd do the same in such a situation. Here is my breakdown of why.
1. Police car speeding in excess of 120 mph
2. Police car weaving in traffic, putting others in danger.
3. Potentially stolen police car with weapons inside, usually including a shotgun and a rifle of some sort.
So basically if it had indeed been stolen, then that person has access to many deadly weapons and thus the best thing to do is to treat the situation as the most dangerous one possible. Having their gun drawn does not mean they will shoot you if you don't comply, it pretty much just means that they are scared for their life and would appreciate the utmost cooperation, but it also means if you do something threatening they will shoot you. She did a fantastic job. |

If you'd WATCHED THE VIDEO you'd see that she says she thought the police car was stolen, a reasonable assumption given the circumstances.
Wouldn't you think that gives her a very good reason to draw the gun? |

A few years ago, I was going 147 on the interstate and got a misdemeanor reckless endangerment TICKET and was let go. I paid my $340 fine 2 months later and was done with it. |

I'm sure not all cops are bad, and I'm sure not all gang members are bad, but it's human nature to abuse one's power when not kept in check, and there's gotta be at least 1 douchebag cop per 2 decent ones. |

Yea but... in this situation it takes a cop being THAT much of a reckless douche bag that even another cop couldn't look away. So really the one good is quickly canceled out by the bad. |
