By the Gods... This man shows kindness, and then in a fantastic twist of fate, is rewarded for his kindness, and half of you go off about religion, or Islam, or how it must be fake...
How about maybe recognizing that good people exist, in all forms, in all places, in all faiths, and take comfort in that fact. |

religion has nothing to do with this act...TBH, i would not be surprised to learn that this was staged by the owner.. but if it enables people to show compassion than I approve. |

I can understand what you're trying to say here but you really need to rethink your vocabulary use.
'Compassionate' would have probably been a much more suitable word to use than 'Christian' |

Kindness begets kindness, I've learned that in my own life, too. Kudos to the shop owner for helping that robber instead of treating him like scum. Sometimes it just takes one person to do one nice thing for someone to turn their lives around. |

I believe (and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) that in America, or most states at least, if the shop owner doesn't press charges, the police can't either. Maybe it's different if it's caught on camera. |

i'd like to point out that "In accordance with the Quran and several hadith, theft is punished by imprisonment or amputation of hands"
As with Most religions, you have multiple interpretations, this Man choose to be compasionate becuase a: there is room for that in his religion and that appeals to him or B: he is trying to be/ is a compasionate person.
so it isnt a duty in this case, it's a virtue |

Sorry but if this were real the guy would have handed him the $50 in person. It's obvious some person saw the story and wanted to make a positive story out of it by sending the cash. |

Let it go police - that man learned a lesson he will never forget - far beyond any rehabilitation the criminal justice system could possibly have to offer further.
And here's food for thought - without the 2nd amendment, that shop owner would not have been able to teach this would-be robber such a life changing lesson.

If it was that superficial, balancing the scales; than the U.S. wouldn't exist any more.
This vid just shows that anyone can be capable of compassion and anyone can be capable of turning his/her life around for the better because of the compassion of others. |

this has nothing to do with 9/11 robosnitz, weak comparison. the acts of a few do not dictate the views of everyone in that religion anyways. america has had enough nut jobs do crazy poo in the name of our god but i wouldnt blame every other christian for their messed up behavior would you? |
