Saturday, October 29, 2011 9:48:22 AM Apparently this lady never heard of professionalism in the workplace. I worked for a lesbian doctor, she was a great doctor and treated everyone the same. Why should anyone use favortism. That's the entire premise of gay/lesbian values! At least you know theyre going to treat you and your kid the same, unlike Linda Harvey's prejudice ass. What a mean person |

Wednesday, October 26, 2011 8:26:44 PM I don't care if my kids health care professionals are gay or not. There is a gay nurse that works at my local hospital and he is great with my kids. |

Wednesday, October 26, 2011 7:40:11 PM So, it's okay to have a completely competent gay or lesbian nurse/doctor attend to your child in an emergent situation, but given the choice, you would choose to have a straight person administer the care instead? What if that straight doctor is an atheist or into Wicca or a proponent of the theory that earth is 6,000 years old? Are you against those things? How about we look less on the personal convictions of those that are in a position to provide us healthcare and more on the education of the professional administering the care? Get a life. |

Wednesday, October 26, 2011 12:40:36 PM @BrimstoneOne Bingo. I try to think of it in more positive terms, because I am always disturbed by open confrontation, even when called for. P.S. Classic attack strategy; there is an interesting history about the psychological war that the National Socialist Party (NAZI) used to rally the German people against Jews, Blacks, Muslims, et cetera. The solidarity of the cultivated hatred helped their rise to power. Such tactics were also used against other nations. The Germans promoted telling 'Pollack' (sp?) jokes; that's why I don't tell jokes like that anymore, the implied relation bothers me. If you ever come down near D.C. you might want to add the Holocaust Musem. It is quite an experience for anyone with a conscience, even non-jewish people like myself. Although, I admit, it doesn't ispire happy thoughts like the Licoln Memeorial or the Washinton monument does. |

Wednesday, October 26, 2011 11:25:05 AM the space cases, she is card carrying member Right Wing lunatics are killing civil society and are threating the Democratic process. Across North America and Europe. They go by many names 'fascist', 'evangelical', 'neo-liberal', 'conservative', 'neo-conservative', and many others....the points is these individuals are using the system to destroy it. By making the illegal, legal (example is torture in the United States has been made legal; wire tapping with warrants, use of police to control and intimidate law abiding citizenry). And have passed laws that are immoral (examples of this are dedotors prisons, criminalizing poverty, criminalizing charity) This is what this woman is part of, granted she is trying to justify her position by singleing out an "other". But that's just a cover, to hide behind while they attack the liberty of all other us. |

Wednesday, October 26, 2011 10:36:38 AM The scary thing is that many other people can have the same mindset as this lady. It shouldn't matter the preference of a person as long as they preform the duties in a professional manner. |

Wednesday, October 26, 2011 2:27:53 AM I am SOOOOOO glad I don't have to come up with my own ethics and values anymore; they just give'em right to ya'. I wouldn't know what to do if I didn't have people like her looking out for me. Do you think she'd actually make ALL my decisions for me, if I asked? (Yes, I know she isn't MAKING anyone do anything, but still...) Proffering such a mentality is amoral like most of the old testament is amoral. Religion = tribal origin. Tribes, in general, tend toward xenophobia. Thus modern religion, hell, ANY religion = old sectarian (I think that's the right word...?) values and customs when they no longer benefit nor apply to humanity today. It's scary to come out of the jungle, out of tradition, but the trail has been blazed and the tracks laid. All aboard the train to a better humanity. Tickets cost only your prejudice and bigamy; a paltry sum at that, they certainly aren't worth much. |

Tuesday, October 25, 2011 11:47:57 PM What a idiot. A gay/lesbian doctor is no more likely to molest your child than a straight one. And you can't convince a kid to be straight/gay/bisexual. I've always known I was bisexual, and no one convinced me to be one. All you do by telling people that homosexuals are evil and are out to get you is make them feel terrible about themselves. |

Tuesday, October 25, 2011 7:27:29 PM Is my doctor or nurse a homosexual? SO WHAT! They still had to pass the same exams and attend the same trainings and get the same education as a heterosexual. THEY ARE A DOCTOR or NURSE! That's my 2¢. |

Tuesday, October 25, 2011 4:46:20 PM Wow, seriously? WTF does being gay have to do with patient care? So a gay doctor or nurse might try to hit on a patient, but a straight one wouldn't? I really wish we could ship idiots like this to another planet, or at least another country. The world leaders should come together and agree on a place to ditch all of the idiots like this so they can't breed with normal people. |

Tuesday, October 25, 2011 3:53:17 PM Gays are so Gay! I just don't get how they are reproducing the only answer is that being gay is a choice and they are NOT born that way, It goes against everything in natural selection. You're making an irrational argument in an attempt to portray an incorrect premise as a rational conclusion. You couldn't be more wrong if you tried. The silly facade of reason that you've draped over your irrational belief is no more convincing than taping a pole to a dustbin and calling it an elephant. |

Tuesday, October 25, 2011 3:47:09 PM Although I don't understand the reason for wearing the rainbow pin, I don't care and I really don't think my kid with the broken leg will care about the sexual choices of the caregiver. Wearing the pin baffles me, I mean, I don't wear a pin to show I'm straight. That's because you don't consider people to be defined by their sexual orientation, so you don't define yourself that way. Unfortunately, some people do. It's an unfortunately common prejudice. |

Tuesday, October 25, 2011 3:41:42 PM I'd suggest signing her up for subscriptions to lesbian porn websites as a joke, but I expect she has plenty of those already. A shame she drags children into her sexual hang-ups to the extent that she advocates putting children's lives at risk. That's profoundly wrong. |
