Wednesday, November 02, 2011 10:20:58 AM I've got somewhere around -89 friends.. which means I'm in debt to facebook somehow, and their demands are quite harsh and persistent. |

Tuesday, October 25, 2011 11:20:14 AM I have 69 friends. I could easily remove 10 or 15 (hell maybe more) of them and not even care. |

Tuesday, October 25, 2011 10:57:04 AM I have real and invisible friends, that plus the voices in my head is quite enough. I hate facebook. |

Tuesday, October 25, 2011 6:57:26 AM Yeah, well haters... I am a military man, displaced from my family for over 15 years. Every three years, after I have made friends in an area, I have to move away... or I may get deployed like in the past. Either way, Facebook has been an invaluable tool to help me stay in touch with the 75 friends and family I care about in my life. So drat off with your opinions... |

Tuesday, October 25, 2011 6:04:49 AM I agree with you to a certain extent Gerry. For all those that are close to your family and friends I am not sure why you all use FB so much. I started using it when I first moved overseas about 9 years ago and have used it off and on. But now, my job is actually using it as a communication device for our military community. In that instance, I can see....everyone else...get off your couch and pick up your phone if you have something to tell someone! Just saying.... |

Monday, October 24, 2011 10:33:38 PM You don't have to try something to know it isn't for you. I've never tried heroin, but I know it is for stupid people based on its effect on others. At the same time, hey, its a harmless diversion to a point. Heroin, that is. Facebook is stupid. |

Monday, October 24, 2011 10:30:06 PM "i'm sure this isn't what the inventors, whoever they may really be, meant facebook to be used for." No one is on facebook unless they WANT to get spied on. I think the makers of facebook knew exactly what they were doing - people are vain and love to know people are looking at them. Its called fricken FACEbook - your face is the first thing other humans see. It is what you show to the world. You don't have to show your face unless you want to. I don't facebook either, never have, in case my cynicism didn't already give that away. |

Monday, October 24, 2011 6:17:16 PM "210-ish?" What an odd combination of estimation and precision. "200-ish" is acceptable. "Around 200" is better. "210-ish" tells me this person probably has between 205-209 friends and sees this figure as significantly better than 200. |

Monday, October 24, 2011 5:42:01 PM agree with gerry. the only thing i see facebook being good for is spying on other people. i say this because my sister, who is much older than i and housebound, does nothing all day but spy on people she knew 30+ years ago using facebook. and she's not alone in doing that--i know of others that do the same thing. i'm sure this isn't what the inventors, whoever they may really be, meant facebook to be used for. |
