Wednesday, October 26, 2011 12:43:24 PM I'll tell you why this world is going into the shytter jhonnycake. cause of people like you, who empower and enable the sick to function in society. if we didn't offer the help to these people. their numbers would dwindle until the issue was eliminated completely and evolution would have sorted out the problem. it's people like you, who allow, the sick, and the dumb, to exist and reproduce and contaminate the gene pool and it's people like you who are kicking evolution in the balls and instating DEvolution. |

Thursday, October 20, 2011 5:25:31 PM This video gave me chills. Any person who cries repost or makes fun of him for being autistic need only look in the mirror to understand why this world is going to the sh*tter |

Thursday, October 20, 2011 10:06:48 AM @ Simbha: The autism spectra is very broad, there are some people who suffer from sever symptoms and there are some who have more mild cases. My sister has autism, and she went to a special needs school. There, she participated in a chior like group, singing at christmas programs and such, and she even took the stage for her school's 'American-idol-like' competition. she has no trouble singing infront of crowds, god bless her, and it seems highly likely to me that this guy is infact autistic. |

Thursday, October 20, 2011 2:14:11 AM That's supposed to end as follows: ... it's clear this man has had to overcome a challenge in his life and I applaud him. |

Thursday, October 20, 2011 2:13:24 AM Not to take away from the video or anything - I really enjoyed it - but is it really true this man has autism? Autism's most fundamental characteristic is, I believe, impaired social development/communication skills. While some autists can overcome this difficulty, I find it hard to believe that one could do so to the point of singing the national anthem at an MLB game. Based purely on this video, it seems this young man may instead have Down Syndrome. I have a friend who has Down Syndrome and based on that interaction - and what I've seen in some others who suffer from Down Syndrome (notably, Andrea Friedman) - they appear to be able to have normal social skills (and, in fact, can be some of the most wonderfully sociable people!). I'm not claiming to know a great deal about either disorder, and I may be wrong, but this is just my impression. Again, that's not intended to take away from the video; it's clear this man has had to overcome a challenge in his lif |

Wednesday, October 19, 2011 12:26:15 PM pmarren... If you were the parent of an autistic child like I am, you'd know that "retarded" is about the last word you'd use to describe anybody with autism. So while I'm cool with IAB being anything BUT PC, at least get your stereotypes in order before you use them... |
