i don't like the projector and treadmill idea. it should be VR goggles, and played within a big hamster ball. they're doing it wrong! |

I just thought of something else.. is there a limit to how fast you can run??? can you run as fast in the game as you can in real life? will it detect when you crouch, or lay on the ground? can you actually blindfire? if not, it still isn't real enough. lol, what if I want to sit indian style (behind cover), and stradle my gun on my shoulder, facing behind me, and shoot. NO, it's not practical, but I think outside the box. |

I've had this idea ever since I was freaking 12 years old... I've always loved video games, and I'm quite sad as to how slowly they are progressing. Everything I saw was quite impressive, the only thing I wouldn't want, for obvious reasons, is to feel pain as if I had been shot. maybe a small electric shock... but nothing too painful. Another thing that infuriates me is, as awesome as this is, It will be years before it comes out, if it ever comes out at all, and it will be expensive as hell. so, good job... but this should've been done years ago. |

Umm.
What if you get hit by like a machine gun on easy mode? Won't it hurt regardless of the lowered fps? I think 100 repeatedly hit paintballs even with low fps will hurt since its the same spot |

you can adjust how "hard" you get hit
Not really a paintball is supposed to be set to around 280 FPS anything above or below increases it's chances of bouncing and above is a saftey risk. |

Just a thought: why not give electric shocks when and where you're hit? Paintball, there's a risk they might miss your foot if you're shot there, and it gets messy... Still gives you consequences for getting hit, but you can adjust how "hard" you get hit. |

The ultimate battlefield simulator (UK edition) would be 20 men sitting in a hole drinking very sweet tea then yelling till your voice goes once it gets loud.
The American version involves everyone yelling hoo-rah and medic alternately till the war's over then continuing till the peace is over.
The Japanese version would involve endless report writing and feeling sorry for the Americans as they leave on patrol. |

About this "training us for war" poo. If somebody wanted to go into a real war, it's up to them. The great thing about VIDEO GAMES is that we know it isn't real. That's why we PLAY them and don't actually sign up to fight in a REAL war. It takes a real dumb ass to thing there isn't any sacrifice to fight. Who knows, maybe this country IS full of dumb ass, and you might be right if that's true. Me, I'll stick to games. This is gonna be fun. |

Of course, as a cranky old veteran, maybe I'm just too crotchety to get excited about games that glorify war without the demonstrating the unbelievable loss that accompanies it.

I'm drowning, it's so deep...
I especially like the part about getting shot. I've always said, with games allowing you to just duck behind cover and regain health anymore, there needs to be more consequences for getting hit.
Those welts won't go away just because you got behind cover, lol. |
