lol this remote site is 5 mins from Aberdeen city has 4 other golf courses within a few miles and is surrounded by old land fill sites, oh and a quarry.... hardly a remote wilderness
And how much has golf at St Andrews brought in to the Scottish economy over the years |

We already have more than 500 of them, more per capita than any other country in the world. And a golf course is a pretty bad thing when it's where your house used to be. |

Aye, this stuff Trump is doing is crazy.
I'm an Aberdonian - I've seen it as it happened. The only member of the local authority to stand up to Trump was ridiculed in the local press, half the population has been driven into believing itll be good for the local economy when it's unlikely any money will filter back to the city. Trump is a horrible bully, and unfortunately those who are supposed to represent us have completely ignored us, and we'll have a new (exclusive and expensive) golf course.

@Buiadh I agree that Scotland has many beautiful areas of wilderness, but I'll be damned if that means we should sell them to spoiled rich kids! BTW if any of you foreigners want to visit Scotland - stay in Glasgow and visit Loch Lomond. Then do a small walk in Glencoe (find a B&B), Then spend 2 days in Edinburgh. A whisky distillery tour is also a good idea. Try one Lowland, several highlands, then one or two island distilleries. Then go to Ireland, it's great too :) |
