Alright, I've figured this out:
Just because you show a picture of a veteran (i.e. a man who put his life on the line for the country) does not automatically mean whatever cause he chooses to fight for in the future is right. This is a kind of Appeal to Authority fallacy: "veterans (people who know about fighting for freedom) think the protest is justified; therefore, it's justified!"
A veteran CAN be wrong. |

Oldollie, rush is a hatemonger, he didn’t save AM radio, he did create a renewed interest in talk radio though. And that’s only because of his extremist views. The WBC, uses a similar tactic by shutting out logic of everyone who doesn’t agree with them and saying their ‘way is the right way', no room for negotiation. Rush may present some facts and have an occasional moment of clarity now and then, but he’s still just an entertainer looking for ratings. |

You mean besides saving the entire AM radio industry from dying in obscurity, but which now provides employment to 10s of 1000s of people, generates $billions in tax revenue and contributes 10s of $billions to the GDP? Not much, I guess, unless you count providing entertainment for millions of loyal listeners every weekday from noon to 3:00 eastern time.
Of course, that can't compare to YOUR great contributions to the economy, which would be...what? Dumbf*** Canuck. |

Rush is right, for the most part, for every one of these vets you find there are several hundred students, socialists, and unionists in this protest. There are many more vets, percentage wise, involved with the Tea Party.
When less than .1% of your protesters are vets, you're being disingenuous spotlighting them as a repsentative example. |

Protest by nature is a truly beautiful American liberty. The fact that a bunch of people can organize and stand together for what they think is right, is a right that a lot of the world doesn't get to exercise. With that being said, I do think that there are a lot of people involved in the Occupy protests that for the most part are just transits or bandwagon hippies that are looking for a place to camp between getting kicked out of parks and being told they can't sleep under bridges and in the streets.
The fact is, while that not all of these protesters know what their protesting about, a majority do, and the cause is just, as there are real problems on “wall street” that have been overlooked for a long time.
