Friday, October 14, 2011 4:12:50 PM @duffytoler have you ever met anyone with any of those disorders? or are you talking out of your ass? i knew a kid with aspergers, he was well behaved, and very nice. he didn't make eye contact often, and had trouble speaking, and seemed to be more of a child then an average high schooler, but never "wanted to feel special". he was on the swim team, and did all the same exercises and meets as us. Saying medical disorders are made up so kids can feel special isn't just ridiculous, its ignorant. |

Friday, October 14, 2011 12:40:06 PM Asperger's is the latest in a long line of designer illnesses that have no clinical pathology to show they even exist. Other designer illnesses include chronic fatigue syndrome, obsessive-compulsive disorder, hyperactivity, and attention deficit disorder. Basically it all boils down to two things: 1. They want to feel special 2. They want a medical excuse for their bad behavior |

Thursday, October 13, 2011 8:02:03 PM @perhapsmaybe: his rigid movement and weird facial expressions, the way he leaves his fists suspended in the air. Also the fact that music has such a calming effect on him. There's not nearly enough evidence to suggest he might have it, though. (Source: I have Asperger's, basically very mild autism) |

Thursday, October 13, 2011 1:47:15 PM "Fairly sure this kid has some kinda autism, based on his physical reactions to the music." My 10 year old twin niece and nephew are Autistic, and that was my first thought about 5 seconds into the vid. "Did they name that kid Brodger?" No, they were calling him "Rocker"...but that may just be a nickname. Up the Irons... From the Back seat? |

Thursday, October 13, 2011 10:34:52 AM Wow, I've never seen a kid whine until he got what he wanted. And it never reflected on poor parenting skills. |

Thursday, October 13, 2011 9:17:01 AM Yea, he's throwing a fake tantrum to get what he wants. You don't reward that kind of action. |
