Wednesday, October 12, 2011 8:42:02 PM What a bad ass. I knew an Korean-American just like him in Itaewon (PS/ Hi Dewey, I'm talking about you). For some reason the true Korean beefcake nutcases all seem to have been raised in California. |

Wednesday, October 12, 2011 6:06:57 PM Yeah the sex registry is BS. I saw this guy on it 19 knocked up a 15year old. He's on the list and they've been married for eight years. They've made a mockery of a good idea. |

@ auburnjunky, in that case, the man never commited a crime to get expunged. And in other cases, the bureaucracy doesn't administer the sites with any accuracy. They didnt' come up with a procedure to delete names, only add them. One man in california, after five years of failed paperwork attempts, has sued the state twice to remove his name. Each time he won. He is still on the list. |

Wednesday, October 12, 2011 9:51:26 AM @Gerry: You can get it expunged after a certain period of time, depending on the severity of your crime. |

Wednesday, October 12, 2011 8:28:55 AM Considering criminal proceedings are a matter of public record, it's not that difficult to get anyone's criminal history. Any responsible parent will know the criminal history of their neighbors and the parents of anyone their children associate with. Therefore I must agree that I find that requiring people to register for a crime to be extremely ridiculous and wasteful. I do however believe that locating someones criminal records should be easier than it is, making NCIC or most of it at least a database that's open to public viewing would be great. However that's not how things work and the now deceased guy had a choice to register and chose not to and because of it, he's dead. |

I don't think the sex offender registration is a good idea. I'm not even sure it's constitutional. The idea was to protect children but I've never heard of a single child being pretected or saved by the sex offender registry. Now they're talking about Domestic Violence Registry. How far does a bad idea go? Drunk Driver Registration? Drug User Registration? |
