@furryblob i do know because i owned 2 of the latest players on the market back then. The iphone was exactly the same but looked better. And for that privilege they charged you almost $100 extra.
lets not mention it comes with some of the most invasive software known to man. Looks like for all their "effort" they forgot to include simple drag and drop. Instead, they made/make you use their program to sync it, so they can keep an eye on what youre listening to. |

Really? Did you see the mp3 market before the iPod? It was a mess, I owned a mp3 player back then the iPod was a total revolution compared to what was on offer. Same for the rest. |

errm, but they do look good, nothing wrong with aesthetic products (now crippled form and function, another matter)
and now many other companies are making there products look good have with full form and function

Theres nothing wrong with good looking products. It's when the company charges twice as much as its competitors purely because of the looks thats the problem, and its sad that people blindly lap up all the spin in their droves. |

errm, but they do look good, nothing wrong with aesthetic products (now crippled form and function, another matter)

Aw I found out about this while out and about on the internet on my iPhone... at work. I thought it was a joke since 56 is so young (for death), but I didn't know about his previous health issues and all that. Sad day and I have nothing but nice thoughts for his family. |

@mech, i wouldnt say retarded. Apple systems are very solid machines, however, they are vastly overpriced for what they are. You can buy a barebones pc of the same spec and install iOS on it for less than half of a macs cost. |

Creator of the apple mac - steve wosniak
Creator of futore iphones/mp3's - Apple R&D (jobs just signed the legal paperwork)
Moving manufacturing of apple products to third world countries to keep costs down, and selling high - Steve Jobs
Running a company that created over-priced and underpowered products (basically ripping people off) - Steve jobs
Allowing factories in 3rd world countries to mistreat their workers, and pay them so little, that they commit suicide - Steve Jobs.
Who decided to authorise an 'upgrade' to a previous apple product that still underperforms to its competitors and technically can only just be called an upgrade, yet costs almost twice as much - Steve Jobs
Paying the board members and managers top rates, while paying the actual people who make the products a pittance - Steve Jobs.
Why exactly are people calling him a pioneer and a visionary again? |
