If this was the ESPN boards, someone would have already said; IT'S BECAUSE HE IS BLACK!

I totally understand where they're coming for but it seems so unfair for that kid.

"But God always comes first"... this kind of brain washing scares the hell out of me. This kid will sacrifice everything for a fictitious being he has been tricked into believing in. If he had said "But the Easter bunny always comes first" we'd be locking him away.

Newton and Einstien both believed in God. Maybe we should have locked them away. You should know, since you are obviously so much smarter than they were.

My thoughts exactly Jonnycake63. Why should kids be playing sports, they need to be video gaming on a safe couch. How else are we going to legalize weed someday if these kids don't understand that skinned knees hurt.

Why don't they just move him to an older age-group? Or is that not done in the US?

I was an extra in the comments of "I-A-B Costume Contest THE RESULTS ARE IN [10 Pics]". The moderator looked at my post and said it had to be "deleted" because it was "too thought-provoking" to be read by the average I-A-B user. I wasn't even mad... I mean, it got called "too thought-provoking" by the moderator while being read by Lionhart2 and opiebreath... true story.

Also, the kids got his priorities in the right place. Football's a brutal game. I've broken my collar bone, torn my MCL, and had multiple ankle sprains among other injuries. Luckily none of them have been career ending. But there are injuries that are career ending. Should this kid suffer one, he'll have God to guide him and comfort him and he'll have his grades to fall back on and actually get a job. With how good he is he could be an arrogant prick, but seems like he has a good head on his shoulders. I applaud his parents for that. Football's just a game in the end. He doesn't want to end up like Boobie Miles. I'd put his parents up for parents of the year.

Well IAB I'm going to claim resident expert on this post. I'm currently playing college football and have been playing since I was in 3rd grade.

Ok, here we go.

The rule is completely fair for 6th grade and younger. At that age you're learning techniques like hand placement when blocking and pursuit angles on defense, etc. You learn these then so when you play when you're older you don't break a wrist blocking the wrong way, or injuring your neck by tackling with your head down. Watching that kid run, most of his o-linemen stood and watched him because he's so good, and fast, they don't have to block. Putting another kid back there makes them have to focus on blocking their man the right way, thus helping them when they get older and play in more advanced levels of football.

Once he gets to middle school and on though let him loose. Kids have better technique then and more knowledge of offensive and defensive assignments so its more fair to expect t

"I was an extra in the movie 'The Paperboy' (out in 2012). Lee Daniels looked at me and said I had to be in the "mid-shot" because I looked too good to be a 1969 Prison Guard. I wasn't even mad... I mean, I just got called "too good looking" by Lee Daniels while standing in front of Zack Efron and Nichole Kidman... true story."

I'll bet you've been dying to fit that in somehow, haven't you.?

LOL yeah, I waited months for the perfect opportunity to post it to complete strangers who don't know me. Or it could be that the concept is a little related.

@daviddildo: I was your fluffer... I remember that.

Heh. I think the two sides boil down to whether you see little league as good-natured fun, or whether you see it as competitive sport. If you see it as fun, its a good rule, let the other kids have a turn. If you see it as competitive sport, it's a lousy rule, you're punishing a kid for excelling.

So my guess is the people who think its a crummy rule get quite a bit red-faced when watching their kids on any field.

I was an extra in the movie, "American Bukkake 12". The director looked at me and said I had to be in the "face-shot" because I was too hung to be a faceless jerker. I wasn't even mad...I mean, I just got called "too hung" by te director while standing in front of Kate Frost and Holly Landers....true story.

the #1 rule in little league sports is: EVERY KID PLAYS. it has ALWAYS been this way. that also means: EVERY KID SITS ON THE BENCH. they cant all be on the field at the same time.

At his age sports should still have the "Doesn't matter if you win or lose, just have fun" ideal.

Psshhh! Typical chick thinking.

Well if his team is leading by so many points, then I think it's fine he gets benched.
In hockey if a team is winning (lets say 1-6), the winning team's coach is going to pull the goalie, and let the other one have a chance.
He's just taking up a spot on field that someone who needs to build their skills could have had.
It gets important once high school starts. That's when you get things like scholarships. At his age sports should still have the "Doesn't matter if you win or lose, just have fun" ideal.

Batmanners-"He has an advantage over the other kids"

Excuse me, but how the hell does he 'have andadvantage'? Is he on steroids? Is he getting stimulents before the game? Have they given him bionics? The only 'advantage' he has is that he's worked hard to become good at the game. EVERY other child on the teams could have done the same thing. Or, do you think the fat kids should be given a 20 yard head start just to make them feel better?

Foot ball is what's know as a 'Competitive Sport' (use a dictionary if you have trouble with the word 'competitive'. That means you COMPETE, FFS. It is NOT about propping up a useless individual's self esteem.

Using this 'logic', I should be making millions in the NBA. I mean, I may be white, short and overweight, but they should have to give me an alternate, lower goal and a shorter court. Oh, and make all the existing pro players carry weights till everone weighs the same.

Yeah, that'll work.
