That's cute. Detroit is nowhere near as bad as people seem to think. Sure, there are rough areas, but every big city has that.
"That paper sucks.. I know because I live about 10 blocks from Detroit. It's so much nicer on this side... Nicer and significantly more white."
Whiter doesn't mean nicer... Have you ever been to Redford or Westland? Hicks and trailertrash suck pretty bad. |

I was at a truck stop in Detroit, and as I am eating my breakfast, I can't help but notice this very very large black man eating a giant stack of pancakes with whipped cream, strawberries, and other fruit on it.
What made me take notice though, wasn't his size, wasn't his order...it was one of the many license plates hanging on the wall...right over his head.
It read H8T NGGRS.
How wrong is that? It made me laugh, but in a guilty white man kind of way. |

Having lived in Detroit for more than 30 years:
A) Siddown you Nancy. I've known people that have been screwed up. Not one of them was innocent of screwing someone over. It's rare.
B) Having lived other places, Detroit is undeserved of your sensationalism. It has to be the least exciting place on the planet.
Dennis Archer would seem to agree.

C) What IS true: It has some of the least friendly populous and the most people like Justin9235, no matter where they originate.
It's like somewhere, there's a person evaluating @ssholes, sending jerks to Detroit and it's suburbs for not being able smile and say "hello."

Judging from the amount of murders in Detroit, even the residents have a rough time lasting a day. Being known for drugs, theft, and murder is nothing to be proud of. |
